I would say he is an 18/8 type of guy that well also chip in with ALL of the hustle stats.

So he is essentially Balkman with legitimate, franchise-level talent

very unimpressed with OK4 tonight. Something just does not translate with him as an NBA star.

2 losses in a row for Duke. I hope OK4 is not going to be Kevin love lite in the pros. Need to see more defensive toughness

Kevin Love?

Ok4 can't shoot, can't block shots (either), can't play defense (either).

How will he stretch the defense?

Ok4 is no kevin Love (and Kevin Love has his own issues)

Yeah, seriously. Kevin Love lite? Or another poster mentioned his downside being 18 PPG!. These posts are ridiculous.

Love gets a lot of his points in the paint or at least he did in Minnesota but you guys are right OK4 cant shoot bombs like him.

I meant more like I can see OK4 putting up numbers on a bad team. Empty stat player like love has been for the most part

The 2 losses aren't on Okafor. I watched both games It was his guards who have been giving up 3's and not making good decisions with the ball or scoring well themselves. Teams are doubling and crowding Okafor the second he touches the ball and Coach K has to find a better response to that. They panic and then freeze. I think they will eventually figure something out. The effect it's had on Okafor is for him to rush some shots, but he's still just a talented kid.

He needs to work on his jumper a bit more but I actually don't think it's going to be an issue. He can pass out of doubles and often simply dribbles away from the double which is impressive for a big man. In the NBA he's going to be much more effective IMO. The distance from the 3pt line and the quicker thinking of NBA players is going to give him just a bit more room to operate.

I never got the "empty stat player" thing. Either you could hit your shots or you can't. Being on a bad team with HORRIBLE teammates should just make you worse, no?

Or it should make it harder to hit your shots because of bad spacing, bad teammates shooting percentages, bad teammates post play etc ...

How is melo's numbers on this bad team?

These illogical assertions are beyond ridiculous and should be quite embarrassing to continuously state.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Melo is a better 2nd or 3rd best player on a team than Love. Just my opinion. Neither is top tier and when you consider their contracts I'd take Love. I much rather have neither and develop our own cheap stars

I take Love over Melo but of course I would rather have our own cheap star.
