He's better than Okafor imho. He just seems like a guy that will impact the game like 5 different ways. He seems like a star to me.

Hes definitely more versatile than ok4 but still trying to find that one thing he does extremely well. Need to watch him a little more carefully. There is a bunch of really good nba players that are jack of all trade and master of none type players. Ok4 is a throw back playet who can dominate in the post with his back to the basket. Right now i have Towns as the # 2 pick after ok4 right now.

You can see why bigs don't develop offensively anymore. Every shot is from a guard on the perimeter in college

American coaches dont teach a lot of post play anymore. Its all 5-out dribble-drive and kick out for the 3. The bigs are face up jump shooters now. Euro style.

Towns is 19 and already built like a brick house. Crazy to think what he will look like in a few years in the nba

Yea I like Stein but don't think his ceiling is as high. He could work for us in a Tyson role though if Towns is off the board.

I would not have a problem taking Ok4 #1 if we can find an athletic 7ft Center to put next to him

Not interested in mudiay, harrel or russell. We need a cornerstone frontcourt player. We can always use Free Agency to sign guards. Cheaper than signing over the hill bigs

I agree with that.

If I could take anything away from that game--Id say Towns really played hard--still needs work but showed why he may be a top 5 pick.

Harrell stock had to take a hit today--he never came out and he was made to look small several times with no jumpshot. Id say he just fell right out of my top 5.

The one guy who does not get enough run for Kentucky is Dakari Johnson. It is possible that at the end of the day--he could be really good. he has a soft touch hes 7-0 260 and he rebounds. Its hard to take these small samples Id like to see Dakari Johnson play 30 minutes 3-4 games in a row. If you get an OK$ a guy like Johnson might be a steal if you can get him around 22--25 if we can pick up another pick.

Stein stands upright too much--theres a lot of nice things he does but also doesnt even seem to have the great hands he had in football at times.

Agree with everything for the most part.

Stein is going to be a good pro but I don't think he will dominate on both ends like he is capable of doing against inferior college players. His ceiling is Tyson maybe slightly better offensively. Towns on the other hand can be a special Center.

Also good job noticing that Towns plays extremely hard. He did at St. Joe's too from the clips I've seen

Towns' NBA skill is rebounding. The rest is questionable. For now, my top 5 is unchanged - Okafor, Mudiay, Harrell, Russell, Towns.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

towns is legit and would be an outstanding pick for us.

Towns is the type of player that can fit with multiple players and multiple schemes.

If we grabbed Towns in draft - it could allow us to consider a guy like Monroe because Towns can support him defensively with his length and rebounding along with his ability to play off Monroe offensively

Probably the cleanest pick in the draft because of his length, rebounding, defense and all around offensive game.

plus he is only 19 which means he will get stronger and hopefully develop more offense

He is very skilled offensively just maybe not as OK4. You just don't see it in Kentucky because they get their points from the guards on the perimeter. You saw it a few instances today.
Look up Towns playing for St. Joe's Metuchen High School

LivingLegend made a great point in the other thread. Towns may be a better fit with Melo since he doesn't command the ball in the post. OK4 does and Melo will not be willing to share shot attempts. He has a brand to keep up

i hope melo doesnt influence any decision. Melo must know that fans will hate him if he refuses to let okafor grow if we happen to get him
