JR. When he was finishing at the rim two years ago there were portions of the season where he looked like a max guy. Not sure he can ever overcome whatever the issues are that make him so inconsistent though. I think Shump is close to Terrence Williams and Williams is out of the league. I don't think he puts it together but I would love to be wrong about him.

JR was never close to a $15-$29mil per year max guy

he was still erratic on and off the court 2 yrs ago

smith over his career has taken more threes per game than free throws. that's a huge problem, other than not defending a lick.

jr smith is SOFT, STUPID, INCONSISTENT... and almost 29 years old. of course he is going to get shipped!

correction he just turned 29.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

JR had a run in his sixth man of the year year where he looked like he was close to a max guy. I thought it was February but I looked back at the game log and it appears that it was December/January. He looked more like a 10-12 mil guy but I remember threads speculating that the Knicks wouldn't be able to resign him if he opted out.

Problem is JR's injury means we're stuck with him for at least the season.

I really don't get the JR Smith obsession...Who cares about JR Smith..Actually he has run the triangle better than most...But who gives a rat's arse about JR and why the constant obsession about trading him...He is not in Tim Hardaway's way..Tim Hardaway is in Tim Hardaway's way...Play some defense..Did he tell Melo to grab a rebound???...Tim averages 1 board a game...Pass the damn ball..He averages 1 assist per game..JR passes and rebounds...Tim's strong suit is shooting???..He shoot less than 40% and 33% from three point land and we wonder why he doesn't get minutes??

Seriously dude! Do u realise that u r talking about a TWO year player when referring to THJ? Key word, 2.

Just so u know, since the altercation with Carmelo,THJ has been rebounding the ball (5 boards per game). As it relates to assist, he really can't control that part of the game. If he passes the ball to an open shooter and the guy miss the shot, that is not his fault. Besides, if you watch the games closely, you will notice that they always pass him the ball with just 5 seconds in the shot clock; thus he is forced to take a tough shot.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

All roads lead to FG% and not Rebounds

If he doesn't start addressing this first and foremost

Then erase him we shall/should

FG is pretty silly to use as a barometer. You could shoot 5-10 and have 10 points (on 50%!! shooting). Silly.

Melo was 12-26 ... 46ish% ... awful though an ok fg.

Let me know if I can help you with this.
