Phil and Fish inherited a clusterfuk of a squad.

this is a bunch of crap, THJ can get extended minutes because he loses his man quite frequently, usually given up a wide open 3.

Jr has no lift any more, so he's resorting to his step back jumper only, he has the same problem on D as THJ

Shump is a dumb ass on both ends of the court, play hard and dumb is his story

jason smith, can't defend or doesn't give a 100% on defense and is strickly a 7 foot jump shooter.

The triangle has turn all of our bigs in to jump shooters (except for amare)

I notice when melo gets double and triple, not one single person cuts, or give him help, they all stay on the weak side forcing him to throw cross court passes(not to mention he waits for the defense to fully engulf him) which easily get intercepted.

calderon, never ever demands the ball and he's shooting close to 50% from down town..

And I would like to show me one single player who went on record and called melo a black hole.

THIS is an excellent post !

I wonder why no team has run the this offense and been great at it EXCEPT for the Bulls and Lakers who just happened to each have 2 of the top 50 players in the NBA history. We have one very good player and a bunch of misfits, no wonder it isn't working

We are stuck with it. Phil is to stubborn to change. Best case sceniro is that Fisher quits. Then Phil is forced to hire Jeff Van Gundy or Mark Jackson. At the end of the day, we are screwed.

"Guys are definitely frustrated,'' one source said. "But some of it's just basketball stuff that the players don't like doing. When somebody's demanding that you make a hard cut, you don't like it because you have to work harder. When someone says it's not okay to throw a bull---- pass, guys don't like it.''

But the players don't feel like Fisher is being too hard on them, sources said. In fact, some feel his sideline demeanor is too stoic and they'd like to see more emotion out of him.

"They almost want to see Fisher get upset during a game,'' one source said. "They want to know that their coach will go to battle with them, that he'll fight for them. They're not seeing any emotion out of him.''

This makes me think the source is Phil or Mills (on Phil's say so)- it's subtley (or maybe not so much) taking a pop at the players attitude and effort, and then has a bit of feedback for Fisher.

Nice to see the players trying to get another coach fired

LOL! great photo. It is worth noting that Chris Broussard wrote this article so he may have fabricated it out of thin air even though most of it sounds true.

You're 4-19. The team should be angry. There should be fighting.

Hopefully what we're seeing is the fire that burns down the old habbits and culture so the new foundation can be set. Expect it to burn for a while.

If this article is true, and Phil has been quoted that Melo should do more, as well well as Melo himself, then the system is working.
My take is all of Phil's team resisted. My take is even Jordan had to figure it out. It happens with discomfort and in this system its the players who figure it out.
Phil used to take time out and while not the norm, at times the players would talk it thru, figure it out and then go back out. The epicenter of that was leadership from Kobe and Jordan.
Melo either has simply taken the money or he agreed to a strong leadership position. 21 games is not enough to say he can't do this. 21 games is not a career. Maybe Karl never asked him to, MDA might have just wanted him to respond, and Woodson I think Coddled him.

My take is Melo wants this and its not easy. Im ok with all of this. Let them fight, let the those who can't be banished. THjr might just earn Melo's respect in the long run. Maybe THjr is asking for melo to step up and be the leader.

Wanting Fish to yell more? Show more emotion? If thats what our guys want, phuck that, they are looking for excuses. They don't like hard practices? Phuch that, they need to be in shape and get this triangle down as instinct.

Other teams know its coming? Then execute it!!! If so they can't stop it. If they are, its because Knicks are not doing it right.

Im fine with this article and perhaps this is how you change the culture!!! Somtimes its peaceful, sometimes its hard.
Is anyone suprised? Im not. If IM trying to change a group I go at it hard. Pointing figures would have to be part of the process. The culture cannot change until there is buy in.
Read Phils books.

In "Phish" We Trust

Great Post Nalod!!!

Lets at least open the septic tank and see what we got.

Love this sh1t!

And, its so damn theatrical.

I don't get that excuse that the other team knows it coming ****. If you have a system then then the other team knows its coming. Unless you ae playing playground basketball...guess what...the other team has scouted you and they know what you are doing. I want all these players complaining to be gone. Blow this **** up.

We not trading Melo. The team is holding the "leader" accountable.
This is all part of the process of change!

Viva la revolution!!!!

Who does Timmy think he is ?

This is one of the worst articles I have read about the Knicks. Can't believe I pay 200 bucks for the league pass to watch us win lost every night and have guys almost coming to blows in the locker room.

Thank u

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

I am happy THJ stood up to Carmelo. That is why I want him to get more minutes. If you ask me, he has the make up of a true leader. Groom this young dude to be the starting SG and demand of him to be an all around player. Use the stats sheet as a guide on the sideline. Let them all know about their output throughout the games and in the locker room. Lebron is constantly evaluating the stats sheet, our coaches can do the same

WE talking about growing pains here. You think Jordan was converted the first 20 games of the triangle? Kobe?

Leadership is never easy. The fact that THjr called out is a good thing. The coaching can rant all the time but when other players are calling yout out its a different story. Thats how you reset the culture.
Melo lead his teams becuase he was the best player. Those days are over. Now he must lead by making cuts, playing defense, etc!!!!

The cat is out of the bag now and branding will take a hit. It is within his power to make change. Really, didn't we all hear it would take a while? If changing the culture is easy, wouldn't every team do it?

Same old team? By now the starphuch wheels would be in motion and some panic move would occur. Fire a coach, blame an assitant, waive someone, and soon a trade.

Nalod not thinking playoffs but really if your looking at the future does it matter if you win 20 games or 32 this season? Not if you got a pick and not one next year.
Free agents? I thnik the current dysfunction matters. Better early in the season than later? thats big. Very big. If we finished like this its a problem. Plenty of time for Melo to digest his role on the team and the respect he craves is not from money, not from PPG, but from winning. There is greater glory in a turn around.

No problem about Fish being stoic on the sidelines. This team can only develope an identitiy from the players. Not the coach yelling.

you wanna know who the leak is?

ITS PHIL!

All of the sudden Fort Knix is leaking?

This is Phils MO. Get to the players through the media. This is how he wins and defeats.

This is perfect! Melo will not pass the ball? We ask him to and call him out for not passing in the media, Melo responds with an FU 0 assists game. Phil responds with his FU and ejaculates to the media with his barage.

Melo ... its chess ... your move?

Enjoy your 5/124. You are gonna earn that money you scum bag.

This is SO much better than a first round picks!!!

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Reggie Miller???? I don't know about that. He has a lot to prove. Miller did not just sit behind the 3 line like THJ. He was constantly in motion
