I know I'm going to get reemed for this but I was wondering if I was alone.
Agree on Towns and I can see a few players jump ahead of him in my rank by June. His mobility catches my eye as mediocre. The rebounding is there but you're rolling the dice on a lot of other elements.
excellent passer, shot blocker and handles the ball well for his size. Array of post moves and finishing ability, efficient and great knack for engulfing rebounds
I've seen him play quite a bit. Agree on the passing and rebounding. Will be a decent shot blocker, limited by mobility. The rest of his offense may or may not translate.
Hey code--who do you like the best out of Ron Baker Jerian Grant and Tyler Haws? Obviously not tier 1 guys but Im looking at secondary draft players from 27-35 as we need so much help from the guards slot. Also have you seen Zach Auguste play--he's an NBA player for sure--hes got quite some bounce for his size. We need so much help that Ive been following guys who we can acquire with cash late 1 early 2.
Hey Briggs, I think its interesting to look at the talent towards the end of the draft as well. Its an interesting group to pick from - I'd go with Ron Baker 1. Jerian 2 and Tyler 3. Who would you prefer? Auguste I think is ok - I project him as a mid-level back-up 4 - I could pass on him without losing too much sleep.
You know whats important about scoring in the low 1's 2's and undrafted--just look at the Spurs. While you might not find a star per se, you can find the guts of your team. Thats why the Spurs are so good. They sat in this position for 15 years and mined and executed. I'd throw Delon Wright into that group as well--he's got some Rondoish features. I think Rondo was a 25 pick--we bypassed him for Balkman I think.
I'd be happy if somehow we landed a second mid level first round pick this year and bought a 2 if a player slipped. We have so many holes and 75% of our roster is gone. If the players we may want to formulate a team with are there---I hope we are aggressive in that pursuit.
