change the way he plays? boy would I love this guy on my team. And in the triangle? A man can dream.
Haven't seen the triangle run with a shoot first PG, thats why he would have to be more of a facilitator than a scorer.
The triangle does not really require a true PG. It requires handlers, smart passers and highly efficient scorers.
I would defer to Nix on this though I would be shocked if he is not the perfect fit.
My point is that the primary function of the PG in the triangle isn't scoring, its initiating ball movement. Saying that Dragic would have to change his game isn't a knock on Dragic. Phoenix overachieved, surprised a lot of teams with him at point.
Let him be the 2. Who cares - he is so damn efficient at everything he does. He is a very good passer too but was better off shooting more often and his eff rate.
Id be up for that....
So from what its says in the OP, we should send them JR and Shump LMFAO
At this point I doubt that could happen, but JR playing like a 6th man of the year again and Shump getting back his D and showing an expanded game on offense might get their attention. Might have to send a pick as additional compensation because JR is so unpredictable.
