Calderon to Phoenix makes even more sense. When the trade was initially made with Dallas, I thought Calderon was going to be on his way there for Tyler Ennis (the 18th pick). They needed a backup PG last season and I could see Calderon being interchangeable with Bledsoe and Dragic. Besides that point, Ennis is a mediocre athlete and pretty slow, two things that are not fits in Phoenix's offense (see Kendall Marshall). Poor fits like that are usually a tell tale sign that a team is drafting for someone else. Personally, I really, really, really like Ennis and would be estatic if we could get him, while dumping Bargs and Calderon on them. They have so much cap space, I don't think they'd flinch in taking on that money unless Loul Deng is a legitimate target for them.

Bargs and THjr to Phili

Thats about enough to start both guys at $20mm

PG Calderon
SG JR
SF MElo
PF Lebron
C Dalembert
bench: Larkin, Cole, Early, etc

Prob have to give up more to PHo/Phili but that would be the gist

Just please God, for the health of the board, no draft picks! Not even 2025 second rounders!

You put LeQ at the 4? Interesting.

Well, it's only RealGM, but they are indicating Lebron only considering Miami and Cleveland at this point. Could be a smoke screen, but it seems to indicate he's not leaving Miami. Hopefully, it doesn't also mean Melo is heading down there. Can't wait for this shyte to wrap up so we can move forward with or without Melo.

Its looking more and more like Cleveland. Cleveland just cleared 24 million in cap space on three team trade with Nets and Celtics

Cleveland just cleared Jarred Jack from their payroll, amnd last years first round pick, and a future first- no way they'd do that unless Lebron was definitely returning.

Yeah, even Cleveland can't be that stupid... or can they?! The latest is that they are pursuing Ray Allen. I'd say that just about confirms it. Hopefully now Melo can make up his mind, Bosh can go to the Rockets and Wade can weep and the pile of crap he's playing with over the next few years.

Cleveland has blind faith. Of course we won't know until the guys sign, but i would say watch out for Phil. If he moves Bargs and Amare, we would become serious favorites

It's why I hope it doesn't happen. Gilbert's a douche.

CLE's been really, really, really stupid over the years so it might just be possible (e.g. trading their picks for a 2 month rental). I just wish you could oblige their stupidity just once and rob them ****ing blind like most teams have.

and NY fans don't? lets be honest... kyrie, wiggins, are very attractive pieces for lebron to play with over the next 5 years... they can prolong his career....

We should sign and trade Melo there. We can get a combination of young controllable players and draft picks. Im not crazy about Anthony Bennett but we could flip him for picks, Tristan Thompson and Waiters have value. I think Melo , Dalembert for Varejo, Thompson , Waiters, Bennett 2 2015 first round picks works

Its more believable then the Knicks getting Lebron, However The Cavs could easily trade all those players themselves for draft picks and sign Melo which would make a lot more sense. Bennett looks like a bust but someone would give up a first round pick for him. Waiters they have been trying to move for a year now. In fact i would try to acquire him anyway. I would of traded Shumpert for him when we had the chance.

I would do that deal without the picks, Bennett becomes expendable with Melo and Lebron, Thompson is the only player they would want to keep, could send them Shumpert back as well.

Nobody in ny is losing sleep over LeBron or Melo. We're set to move forward regardless. We're taking about dumping expiring deals to players we don't want or need. If we can do that and LeBron and Memo signs? Great...If not it doesn't hurt us either way.

It does hurt if we start throwing in picks and young players to do it. i have no problem throwing Shump in a deal because I doubt we resign him but the other guys like Larkin and THJ still might turn out all right

Really? What does our team have to rest it's hat on other than cap space? If Melo leaves for nothing, we'll be in for another decade long rebuild with no pick in 2016.

Are we trying to get Lebron?
