you are missing my point... he obviously isn't getting most of his points on dunks... he is getting them on the perimeter.. so 46% is not that bad.. lets put it this way, for his career carmelo shoots less.. is he a bad shooter?

luol deng shot over 50% from the field one time in his career.. a lot of guys have never achieved that at all. including carmelo.. just saying..

you can try all of the advanced stats all you want.. truth be told. luol hits 46% of the shots he takes from the floor.. that is pretty good and debunks your comment that he can't shoot!!

what I am trying to help you to do is see this.. if you line a player up.. to shoot from 10-20 feet how many shots will he hit.. the shots have no point value at all, all we are counting is makes and misses.. you do understand that if I shoot 46% and you shoot 44% I will make more shots than you.. right? you are confusing efficiency percentage with the three point shot attached with the ability to shoot the ball.... You seem to be totally confused

but Anyway as you said there is so much more than offense, Deng is pretty much a complete player, and a great team player.. as you suggested, cutting back his minutes should work wonders for him..
