in fact he shares the ball beautifully and creates cohesion, he is a workhorse to a fault-- thibs achilles heel is playing his guys too many minutes.
i agree that whoever he plays for should cut back his minutes like popovich is great at. 30 minutes a game would do wonders for him come playoff time.
I pointed that out early and he went right to EFG and every other advanced stat..
which is why I asked him earlier.. If we just lined up outside and said who can make the most shots out of 10, the person that shoots 46% is going to make more than the person who shoots 44%, therefore if you consider someone who shoots 44% a good shooter, how is someone who shoots 46% bad... you know I didn't get an answer to that, instead I got insults and the peanut gallery joined in the mele.. go figure...
but Anyway as you said there is so much more than offense, Deng is pretty much a complete player, and a great team player.. as you suggested, cutting back his minutes should work wonders for him..
i feel like it's important to look at the number of shots taken-- AND missed. what i mean is, without looking at pace, you can't say that you prefer that the opponent get x number of extra shots/possessions because you have 38% three-point shooter.
this does not mean there is not a tipping point on shooting threes where there is a benefit to shooting more threes, but i doubt that it is under 40%.
spurs shot 46.6% from 3 and DESTROYED miami.
bottom line if the knicks want to be relevant they need to start acquiring two-way, ball sharing players and make a rotation ten-deep. they can probably be found in this draft for all i know.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
