And i love Melo.

You can see that the personal that Jackson is bringing is a combination of Bulls, and Lakers staff, this is the first selling point for Melo.

The second, a new coach, new system and new role players that will support Melo, as he plays the role of Jordan/Bryant.

If all the above is not enough for Melo, yes, he can leave NY, just let us know as soon as you can, you screwed us once in the mid season, you eff owe us

It's not just you, but I find it funny with a lot of fans who will profess their love for melo.. "and I love melo" "I love melo" "don't get me wrong I love melo"...

yet yall will say in the next breath things like, "You screwed us in the mid season" ... well how can you love a player that screws your team.. and he has done so more than just once....

I thought we were supposed to be knicks fans first.... which is why I say, I don't think some knick fans care if the knicks win, just as long as they win with someone " leading the knicks" " dragging us into the playoffs" "carrying us on his back".. what the hell ever happened to rooting for a team full of good players who play for each other..and win?

Really?
It's like saying "I love the Knicks but they suck right now". Saying "I love Melo" doesn't mean he puts him above the team. You had your favorite player before the trade. Were you more a fan of his or a fan of the Knicks?

Melo's a sore topic here to say the least and sometimes posters feel the need to preface that they don't actually hate him in order to no be lumped in with a certain crowd.

we had a team that was being built starting in 2010-2011. i was angry that the plan was scrapped to just acquire a redundant "name" player with empty numbers-- and who was too greedy, selfish, and stupid to realize it.

Yes, you've made that quite clear. Still doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't hate the man with all their being likes him more than the team.

well why not? why not go to the extreme.. I mean you just labeled dk as a person who hates him with all of his being.. do you really think that was a fair way to represent what DK was trying to get across? no it was an extreme.. so why not take the other extreme then... everyone who likes him, likes him more than the team.. and BTW, that is not what we are trying to get across... my point is, it seems as if fans are only concerned that the knicks move on, or are good as long as carmelo is getting paid and he can "be the man".. it really is an odd sitaution here with NY fans.. (seemingly most young fans) and this loser...

First off, when you say "that fork should be taken out of the road and stuck in Carmelo", as well as imply that if the rumors last season were true about Melos marital problems then he had it coming because it was karma for forcing his way here, you have a problem.

As for your other point, I don't see it.

I didn't make those comments, and of course you don't see my point.. I honestly didn't expect you too.. but really I have no problem with those comments.. I have very little pity for selfish, self centered dummies who could care less about a fan base or the team he plays for.. and trust me, this guy doesn't care about, me, you, this fanbase or the knicks.... some people believe in karma... I don't fault them...

So...making a joke about sticking a fork in the dude is cool? I know DK probably didn't actually mean it but really?

the stick a fork in carmelo statement was meant as the phrase "stick a fork in "x" he's done-- as a knick that is. sorry you read into it something sinister-- maybe you have issues you need to address.

i have no comment about the marital indiscretions of carmelo anthony. but if it elicited a comment form one of my favorite players kevin garnett, and it caused melo to not merely lose his cool but wait at the bus after the game, then i would say that melo must have issues too.

I actually liked the notion of literally sticking a fork in that turkey.. LOL..... but I understood your point and so did everyone else... but I guess it is easier to just paint you as a blind hater... go figure..

Melo saving Dolan from himself!

wouldn't that be the great Phil Jackson from himself?

Do you think that Dolan is going to let the #6 best selling jersey and the biggest cash cow of this franchise walk?

Don't know if even phil has that much power.

Phil wanting Kobe gone and he was forced to keep him and work with his chucking. I think that this may be the same case for Melo.

what? while with the knicks Lin was outselling everyone except Derek rose and guess what Dolan let him do?

True. No reason to get personal Melo can do what he wants. Hopefully he signs back here but if he doesn't this is a free country. The only thing I hope is that if he has his mind made up to go to Chicago. Let's see if we can work out a sign and trade where we take back boozer both 2014 picks and a 2016. That really helps the bulls and if we lose melo it will help us rebuild faster

Would probably be the best case scenario other him staying for less money of course.

Chicago can always use the 1st rounders on draft and stash players.

ok.

I love Melo as a player
I hate Felton as a player
I am not on board with Tyson as a player(nor defensive either)
I liked Woodson for Damnphony, i hate Woodson as a stubborn coach that goes with JR and Bargs etc'

I adore the Knicks, they are my masochism in a strange love/hate relationship, no player is above the Knicks, i didn't start to root for the Magic when Patrick went their, not either rooted for GS when Starks go.

Yes Melo screwed us, he could easily waited for FA to sign, but on the same breath i like him as a player, and i like the idea of puting him in the triangle offense as Kobe/Michel role.

PS
i love this forum

not sure how saying " I love the knicks but they suck" applies to anything that is said here.... my point is, how can you love a player that has sabotaged your team? sorry man but that analogy sucks... doesn't apply..

My favorite player doesn't even play on the knicks.. I had players I liked, when they were traded, I still wanted what was best for the knicks...,I would never want whats best for a player over the team... you have a problem with that?

Melo's a sore topic here to say the least and sometimes posters feel the need to preface that they don't actually hate him in order to no be lumped in with a certain crowd.

well the problem is people lumping people.. maybe if we focus more on the topics and less on what posters like, and who they are, this would not be a problem...

the point is, if you are a fan of the team, you should not be worrying about how people feel about one player.. carmelo should not be a sore topic, but he is because people are trying to force some knicks fans from expressing their displeasure with him and how he has pretty much hurt this franchise with how he got here, his lack of leadership and his big MOUTH!!

Does this sound the post of a person whos not worried about how people feel about one player?

NO.. it sounds like a person who is confused as to why people can't grasp the fact that if you are a knick fan, that should be the most important thing.... for example teamball since you seem to not get whats going on here..

If I say the KNICKS suck.. rarely do I get any opposition, maybe a few here and there..

If i say carmelo is a playoff loser..(which is a DAMN FACT) I get basically what amounts to internet death threats... see the difference?

I don't care if you love carmelo... I actually sympathize with some of his fans.. but don't tell me I am not a fan because I don't like this dude.. I have stated why I don't like him and why I don't want him on this team, and it is all basketball related.. I dislike him because I like the knicks more.. this clown, JR smith are at the bottom of my basketball list.. and for good reasons..

I'm sorry but that sounds exactly like someone who's concerned with how people feel about one player. Him saying "I love Melo" - a feeling that he has (though obviously not literal) - spawned your post.

I honestly just disagree with the belief that anyone here wants Melo to have more success than this team. If he leaves, most people here probably won't talk about him anymore.

Is this really that hard for you to follow or are you just pretending..

posters says he loves melo, although he admits that he is screwing his team.... I ask how can that be, I thought your love should be for the team first...

why is that so hard to understand? I responded not because i am concerned about his feelings for a player, but his seemingly lack of feeling for his team?

And if he put Melo above the Knicks, would he even be concerned that he's screwed the team?

He didn't even seemed that concerned that he screwed the knicks, which is what spawned my comments as you put it.... it seemed as if the knicks were an after thought..

when someone says I love melo, although he is screwing my team.. doesn't tell me that his priority is the knicks... If you screw my team, I want you gone, end of story...

Yes cause I've had the board pull up past posts of mine with racial undertones.
I will say my bad for the misunderstanding though

my comments were not racist of course-- if one actually knew me one would know that-- and i have already apologized to those that were so ready to misinterpret them and profess outrage as a result-- people who don't know me. i guess when one can only shoot blanks in a basketball forum one will resort to grasping at anything and twisting its meaning in order to gain some traction.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Melo's a sore topic here to say the least and sometimes posters feel the need to preface that they don't actually hate him in order to no be lumped in with a certain crowd.

not sure how saying " I love the knicks but they suck" applies to anything that is said here.... my point is, how can you love a player that has sabotaged your team? sorry man but that analogy sucks... doesn't apply..

It's not just you, but I find it funny with a lot of fans who will profess their love for melo.. "and I love melo" "I love melo" "don't get me wrong I love melo"...

You're worried about his feelings for his team, yet you picked "your" team to lose ever single damn game in gampicker. Now that's love for your team!

what's "gamepicker"?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Don't know how I'd feel about Boozer though...

Taking back boozer helps facilitate us getting 3 first round picks We can trade boozer for something else or just keep him for the year

Taking back Boozer is not terrible. It just means we would really be tanking (which I'm ok with).

Would you not want to make a play for Taj?
