you guys have a nice chat? Or is that a 'dk fact'
it's a dk fact that this team is going to undergo more than a mere tweak or even a retool. next season is a throwaway or did you not infer that from his press conference where he said summer of 2015 is going to be huge?
"i believe in system basketball"
"we have to build this team... ferret out players who want to play the type of ball we want to play"
"we have a team that will hopefully make swift and important changes"
"i am looking forward to 2015 but we will try to make a truly competitive team in the meantime"
"we have a vision we have a plan"
"i want to bring back fundamental basketball skills"
"the key to turning things around here is players, teaching them little things and intangibles. stay between your man and the ball, stay in front of your man, hit the open man"
"sets don't work in the nba"
"i'd like to see carmelo be less predictable that will increase his efficiency"
yup... all those quotes tell me the same thing. They are going to resign Melo, Phil is going to mentor him, and they will build up the team with players that excel in that type of system. Of course summer of 2015 is going to be huge. The entire Knicks roster minus like 3 guys expires.
Hate to disappoint you
