everything else is moot
It makes spring a lot more fun. Also, anything can happen in the playoffs. Look at what happened to OKC last year after they lost Westbrook. Step 1 is getting there. After that you have to see how things play out.

IMO Playoffs is always better than no playoffs. It's all about how a team performs once they get there. How you get there is less important at this point. We know changes are coming eventually, but for this season i'd prefer the team make the playoffs and try to do something with it.

I think even if this group managed to win a championship I still wouldn't appreciate it. That's how my I detest this group from top to bottom

Look at who we've played. There's your "resurgence" right there.

that time of the month?

Don't let your emotions get the best of you

I will take a ring with no misgivings. Obviously if the team would play well enough to be winners they would be less hate-able

so here is what phil is thinking ....

I agree - its three games, questionable opponents.

But, this is the team we thought we'd have at the beginning of the year.

I think the one thing I haven't seen anyone mention is JR Smith - he's finally started to be a bit more effective.

When we talk about 'leadership', I think really what the difference is between this year and last is an effective JR Smith

we have lost these games all year... Knicks are playing hard right now and with purpose. What was said and why? I cant imagine, but its plain as day they are motivated.

Its pretty simple
Having amare and JR in the starting line up has helped the team. At the same time Chandler decides to play the best basketball since hes been a knick

Lets not forget that we have had 2 streaks like this during the season and we havent played good teams. We could make our run here--the teams in front of us have lost and we have won bottom line

Who has the power to influence the players to play hard and play the right way all of a sudden ?

Melo, Woody, Dolan, OTHER ?

Notice how they put aside all their selfish ambitions and now they trust one another.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

our best players (melo has done so all year) are finally playing the way they are capable of. amar'e has been oustanding, i dont it can be stated enough how important he is to melo. amar'e is the only other guy on the team that other teams might have to gameplan for and anytime you give a little more attention to another guy defensively, it's going to open things up for melo.

jr has been awesome to, and believe it or not, i actually like the things he's been saying in the press. im not going to say he's turned the corner, maturity-wise but he actually has been trying to keep this thing together.

+1 gentlemen.

We have four proven starters overcoming our documented albatross PG. Imagine Kyrie on this squad. Okay, dream over.
If Cole Aldrich could provide something other than garbage time cameos, we'd have quite the bench as well [THJr's recent struggling aside].

Anybody care at this point if Bargs even attempts to come back for the playoffs? [yeah, jumping the gun alot, but hey, I'm happy!]

Nobody has an opinion on this huh ?

These is the same roster, so did the two new guys Earl Clark and Shannon Brown bring this resurgence ?

I think some of the change might be Phil Jackson talk, maybe the break of CAA on the Knicks:

One Knicks player recently told ESPN.com that the CAA ties were a problem in the locker room.

"You see how guys from CAA are treated differently," the player said. "How they get away with saying certain things to coaches. How coaches talk to them differently than they talk to the other guys. It's a problem."

CAA is Creative Artists Agency and they represent athletes, actors, and musicians amongst others I'm sure. It's long been talked about that CAA is Dolan's preferred agency to deal with: Woodson dumped his long-time agent for CAA after 2012; Melo, JR and Chris Smith, and a bunch of other players. They also represent Dolan's ****ty blues bad, JD and the Straight Shot. They also represent The Eagles who JD and the Straight Shot opened for during their recent tour. So, what a lot of us think is that Dolan has basically turned control over a lot of Knicks decisions to CAA so they'll help out his ****ty band get gigs.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come
