Knicks guards:
Get outrebounded
Get out assisted
Are less efficient then their opponents
get outscored
I mean... across the board from points, rebs, assists, PER, literally every stat or category they get out played (usually by alot) EVERY night.
The only thing they arent geting abused on is TOs, overall the opposing guards turn it over 1.5 a game more.
A team can't win when they handicap the game like this at the start every night. Hahn said last night that he has talked to scouts and that opposing teams know to go at the Knicks point guards. Also, until JR finally found his shot again the Knicks were getting crushed at the two guard spot. Not sure what Shump has to do to get himself anchored to the bench but he certainly isn't adding much if anything to the team. However, struggling this much in the back court and choosing not to address it is just ridiculous. If some package of Tyson/Shump and possibly Felton, Beno, Metta, etc for an upgrade it seems like the team has to do it. I agree with some that have said trading Tyson might be a sign to Melo that the Knicks aren't planning on competing but I think if they can get any player that is close to functional at the point and maybe something else they should do it. Tyson needs to be moved anyway in my opinion.
