Yeah because every American has a B.A. in economics, as well as a J.D. and can understand the extensive fine print included in those contracts. I don't understand why people like you choose to defend the men of excess that screw people over. Those guys get richer, while we all get screwed. I'm not sure that is a culture to endorse.

yea because i need a an advanced degree from harvard to understand that my monthly income can't cover my $3000 mortgage on a $200000 house?

You do realize that it's a proven fact that _some_ of the fly by night lenders and even some huge banks straight up LIED and used blatant trickery about the terms when giving out and underwriting loans? They've even been fined and happily paid their fines since they made so much money the fines were a drop in the bucket.

And before you accuse me of being some lib-tard read my post above where I state that another facet of the problem was indubitably idiots taking out dumb loans and overleveraging their assets. But then again that isn't so simple either because a lot of people who refinanced during the bubble did so believing their property was worth way more than it actually was. So all the shenanigans inflated values and a lot of people who intially took out reasonable and proper loans years before got screwed as well.

Nothing is black and white.

Portland wiffed taking Larue Martin No. 1 and 5 years later took Bill Walton, and in 77' won a chip.

SAS kept Duncan relevant for years by rebuilding thru the draft MOST

One thing we know, most starphuchs don't work. Boston got a chip with Garnet and Ray but most of the time not.

If Detroit drafted Melo over Darko they might not have gone into such a bad decline.

Remember when Larry Brown was slammed for ruining Darko? Larry was right. The kid didn't want to play.

I agree, most Starphuchs don't work. I still can't get over how dysfunctional that Lakers team with Malone, Payton, Kobe and Shaq was. That said, that last Detroit championship only featured one homegrown player and I don't think he was even a lottery pick. All the other guys were free agents or came via trade. It took two pages to say that there really isn't a right way to go about things. There is one general rule tho. Project centers drafted in the lottery usually become busts.

You do understand that the interest rates were variable, right? Sure, you had a few idiots in the mix that bit off more than they could chew but a significant portion of people got ****ed when those interest rates shot up beyond double digit points when the market started falling in on itself. To predict something like that happening, yeah, you'd need an advanced degree from Harvard. So no, I don't blame the average Joe. I blame the men in power that allowed this to happen so that they can have a third yatch worth more than most real estate in the country.

Bennett played 31 minutes, grabbed 8 Reb and 15 pts.

Those are NBA numbers. Patience. Sometimes it takes half a season, sometimes a few years!

Anthony Bennett: 19 points, 10 rebounds against Sacramento. Still early, but the kid is finding his way as an NBA power forward. I think he has a good chance to be better than Kwame Brown.

FBI reported that 80 percent of all mortgage fraud was perpetrated by the lenders.

How dysfunctional a team it was but it still went to the finals. That roster and with the Zen Master at the helm was still unable to defeat Larry Browns best team ever. I thought Karl was having some injury problems in the playoffs.
