Better plan than sitting on these bums because you would rather lose 2 straight years and beg Kevin love to suck us off

Cap space? No we won't have cap space if we do this deal. Reducing payroll is not the same as getting cap space. I'd do the deal only if it's an unprotected pick that we're getting but I don't think cleveland would

I would do it with top 7 protection---no team is trading for Chandler unprotected---top 7 protected is more than fair. We can either use Bynum or waive him and save the cash and potentially space next year.

Then what if it's a top 7 pick? We get a protected 2015 pick? We have to get something besides Bynum and irrelevant payroll deduction.

It's either a pick or a trade able asset.sounds like there could be a possible 3 way that could net a good player

We are always on the wrong side of deals

I don't think the Lakers have looked smart since Jim Buss has been running things. Far from it. How do you get Dwight and lose him? How do you give Kobe that contract before he even comes back? How do you stick with D'Antoni when 2/3 of your all stars want to don't want to play for him. You don't give a hobbled 36 year old Kobe a third of your cap and then start looking to find ways to save on the luxury tax by moving your other all star.

I Don't really get this from Cleveland's perspective. Why are they giving up an asset for Pau? Bynum and a 1st for Pau doesn't make sense unless the lakers take Jarrett Jack's bad deal to get further under the cap along with Bynum. The idea to getting Pau is to cut his 20 million off the books and get rid if a bad contract.

None of the media blasted the Lakers for losing Dwight for nothing. Compare to the coverage we get if Melo walks.
