LoL it's even Melo's fault when he dosen't play, And stop the BS about if Melo played we would have lost by 40. We would have won. We would have beat the Pacers if Shump did not make a bone head play. We lost several games by 2 3 or 1 point this season so keep your hate for Melo to yourself. This is starting to sound like the Ewing era over again. Melo is a future hall of fame whether you like it or not and if he leaves we go back to the dark ages again. Do you remember the 14 years before Melo came?

Their Melo hate is so extreme that we lose to one of the worst teams in the league and people think the Knicks are watchable. These guys would definitely want Ewing gone too.

I call it lying and trying to get his hate of Melo point across. Some people might believe that lie. He should have told the truth and that brings credibility which he has none of.

Somehow they are OK with exaggerating all the negatives. If however a fan brings up something these guys don't agree with then they will ask for all kinds of ridiculous stats to back it up. It's just lame!I have been relying on the ignore feature to filter out all the frequent offenders and it does help.

He's around 200th in shooting efficiency but first by wide margin in shot attempts. It's an exaggeration; not a lie.

And it's certainly not a lie to say that Melo didn't go 8 for 30 yesterday.

Even JR is tolerable minus Melo

NAH, I didn't find them much more watchable, although not seeing carmelo out there was great for me... watching Jr smith, bargnani and just the lack of talent on this team isn't fun..

I say burn this mess and start over... until then... blah......

Thank you!!!
This is exactly what I am thinking too. Is Melo perfect? no was Ewing? no but surround them with talent and we can win. The mess is GM/Owner's fault

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Leadership

BigRedDog - my man emann sums it up quite nicely

The game itself is quite simple ... Offensively you play inside out meaning you penetrate your guard who then kicks it back out to the forwards ... We play outside in meaning we take a 24 footer and hope the rebound lands somewhere inside. Which is why us having guards that can go baseline to baseline is so important.

We desperately need lead guards.

Not point guards or shooting guards.

Lead guards.

It is a slight exaggeration but you get the point... to call Guns a liar is ridiculous.

Dec 18 vs mil.. carmelo shot 9-29

Dec 13 vs Boston 9-24

nov 20 10-28

nov 13 9-25

nov 5 10-28

oct 31 8-24

so as you can see, Bonn was not far off at all, carmelo has put up some close to 8-30 games.. and when you look at it, I would hardly call that exaggerating , more close to reality..

The two aren't mutually exclusive. The real question is do we want to see a championship team in the next few years, which will never happen as long as Dolan owns the team.

Typical knee-jerk thread. Where was this thread all of last year?

Unfortunately last year was an aberration. Do you think this current roster can play on that level? I say no way they can. Not happening. Our guards are horrendous on D, everyone else besides Chandler is bad on D, we can't rebound or protect the rim, and out offense is predicated on ISO's and long 2's. Basically, the worst possible way to try to score if you want to win the game.

Don't get me wrong I loved last season and hoped it would last into a run of a couple years of success, lord knows we deserved that as a fan base after suffering the previous 10 years of Layden, Dolan, and Isaiah induced pain. However, my eyes are now open and we will never be able to build around Melo for a litany of reasons which have been discussss as nauseum here. It sucks, but it's the reality.

You can't be an aberration for 82 games of a season. Last yrs team was what they were. Felton, Smith, Shumpert have all regressed. Udrih, Bargs & Artest don't compliment the team as much as Kidd, Novak & Cope did. Kidd's skill set, IQ, leadership complimented the skill set of Felton, Smith, Shumpert. I was hoping Shumpert could step up and take over Kidd's role for the team in his own way, but I also new that was to much to ask.

But I do agree that they won't get back to that level. Going for a high pick in 2015 and cap space seems like the best way to go. But that's not how the Knicks operate.
