great question.. but not just that, how many teams out there can and will make better offers for rondo? I mean come on, he is a top 5 PG easily.. and still young..

Don't look at it so much as a better package for Rondo, look at it as who can offer a package that can take on the big contracts to go along with Rondo. Celtics are not trading him unless Wallace, Lee, and maybe Bass join. Very few teams are willing and able to make that work. A Rondo deal won't be just about Rondo, they are a rebuilding team that wants to unload the rest of the baggage.

I think plenty of teams can and will take back some junk to get rondo... but the celtics do want something back in return.. either young players and picks, picks, or young vets... we don't have anything they want.. I mean come on.. the nuggets as I said in the other threads.. laughed us out of the building in the so called shump for faried deal... celts are not stupid either..

Where did you read they laughed us out of the building? Last report is the Knicks thought they had a deal finalized and Denver called back and countered by asking for a pick. I will provide a link if you want it. You live in an alternate universe with some of this stuff. You think they laughed at us for that deal, Denver only wanted to resign Melo so they could trade him, etc. Come on man get it together, you sound like a Knicks hater and nothing more.

that is laughing you out of the building.. Denver knew the knicks had no picks to offer.. they took them all.. they know we can't trade the 2015 pick, they also know we can't trade the 2017 pick.. so the earliest pick they could get would be 2018.. rofl, they pretty much laughed us out of the building..

it is like me telling you.. of course I will sell you my 2014 cadillac cts for 500 bucks, but I also want you to throw in life time blow jobs from jennifer lopez and jessica alba....

If you say so...

This is not true. Someone this morning reported that the Nuggets agreed to send Faried for Shump but at the last minute wanted a draft pick, which the Knicks would not give.

The floated deal for Rondo makes some sense depending on what the Celtics rebuild strategy is. But I just think they can get a better player than Shump and still send out their bad contracts. But Shump fits the bill as a young vet.

Thank you for confirming this. TKF exaggerates his theories beyond belief when they can't even be further from what is reported. Watch him say Denver was just being polite...

dude stop trying to piggy back... it is not an exaggeration.. they told us to take a walk by asking for a pick, they knew we didn't have to give!!!

We could get a pick using hardaway or cash, there is always a way to get picks. Denver is trying to do business with the Knicks, not disrespect them. People don't do business that way. You are just trying to make a mockery out of this to cover yourself. Can't spend my whole day arguing your disagreement with published reports. I'm out.

SO BAISCALLY the trade would be faried for shumpert, THJ and a pick... pretty much what i have been saying.. a cost the knicks can't afford or don't have..

and what team do you think is trading a pick for THJ now at this point in the season?

but you know what might have worked? shumpert, novak and take the swap off the 2016 pick and just make it a straight out pick to denver... and we could get faried and a second round pick from them..and maybe they throw in an Anthony randolph or jordan hamilton... who knows.. but we traded novak and 3 picks for bargnani...

gotta give to get here... faried and a healthy chandler on the front line is nice.. but the problem persist.. carmelo is back at SF.... oh lordie.. I cry uncle..

here's the one thing I don't understand: Isola is the one reporter the Knicks organization absolutely hates... so how is he getting all of these tips? Seems like it's always "a source within the organization", especially considering Dolan's draconian media lockdown?

Dolan says something about not liking what Shump did.... and it gets out? One of Dolan's own lackeys is leaking this stuff, and he/she is right in the room with him.

No one who has seen Melo play his entire career thinks him at SF is an issue. Its not about the position he plays, its about the role the players around him play.

Probably. I don't see why Isola would just make stuff up. I know he hates Dolan but is there a history of Isola making stuff up. I don't think there is

I do wonder how Isola still has sources- back in the 90s he, Beck and Berman each were close to JVG, Checketts and Grunfield (can't remember which was matched to which)- thought he'd be a spent force by now.

Looking back over this summer, I suspect it was Grunwald who told Stephen A Smith about Dolan wanting Shump traded. I think Dolan knew it had to be him and that's why he was so pissed with Grunwald.

My many years of reading his articles have formed the opinion that his opinion pieces are generally negative when it comes to the Knicks but his sources are very good. I ignore his opinion peices and generally believe his sourced articles. He has broken many stories in the past. Right now, I would believe him more than Alan Hahn. I used to like Alan, but since he took that job he has been wearing rose tinted glasses. My last straw with Alan was when he said Cole took Tylers spot. I tweeted to him that he knew who really took Tylers spot and that he was avoiding the elephant in the room(Chris Smith).

But why wait til right before the season kicked off to fire him? I think it was the embarrassment Dolan felt facing the media after being forced to make friends with Prokorov. All the moves the Nyets made and a the Knicks could mustard is Bargnani. Of course Dolan fails to release why we are in this predictament where we can only go after castoffs because we traded every asset

I wonder where all the dudes who insulted people for replacing Lin with Felton went.

They probably think I forgot that they acted like complete douchebags during that process. I wouldn't expect anything less from people who eat up Dolan's sh!t.

I'll still be here to own up to what I say, right or not. But mostly right. Because I actually use facts when I make posts, not false info through rose-colored glasses.

You'll still be hiding in the corner pretending you never said something. The one good thing about the internet is that everything you've ever said here is archived. You can't run and hide. What you say comes back to haunt you.

Your smugness and arrogance over Woodson and Grunwald was one of the worst things about this forum. Now it seems like your belief is waning. Convenient!

great question.. but not just that, how many teams out there can and will make better offers for rondo?

But just like Melo --- Rondo could let it be known that he only wants to go to NY to play with the Knicks and anywhere else --- he will be unhappy. Not sure if that is where Rondo's heart is but if it is -- it's very easy for him to send that message. Once other teams hear about it.

If you are another team (say Denver) do you want to trade talent/take on bad deals for a disgruntled Rondo.

That's the way stars force trades these days and I don't see Rondo being particularly excited with his current roster -- not that Knicks have much better (lol).

If you say so...

it's a fact!! denver knows we don't have picks.. you know it as well... again, you are getting body slammed here defending something you obviously know the answer to... LOL

you sound like a real a-hole

You'll still be hiding in the corner pretending you never said something. The one good thing about the internet is that everything you've ever said here is archived. You can't run and hide. What you say comes back to haunt you.

Your smugness and arrogance over Woodson and Grunwald was one of the worst things about this forum. Now it seems like your belief is waning. Convenient!

I thought they were on the right track and I thought Grunwald did a lot with little wiggle room. I still feel that way. In regards to Woodson I think his situation changed when Grunwald was fired and Dolan appears to have a much more hands on approach. Honestly though I can't think of anything that I said that would come back to haunt me. I think We disagree on Walsh's tenure and the merit of what he did or didn't do while he was in NY.
