Myself no... Im not happy with the Knicks. Knicks act like they are made of money, need a PG and let Jeremy Lin when all it took was cash. He would easily be our best guard right now.

Instead we resigned JR Smith for a long term contract. A volume shooting knucklehead who almost singlehandedly shot us out of the playoffs. Lets not forget the roster spot we are using for his brother Chris instead of using it for a guy who might be solid in the pipeline. The team wins 54 games and the first division title in a decade plus and they fired the GM and bring in someone who was has fingerprints all over the Isiah era, one of the most disgraceful runs we have seen in NY sports. Rich Kotite's Jets were more watchable.

So no... not happy.

Playa2.. the Pacers have much more talent. Do you really suggest otherwise? And yes.. this team doesnt compliment each other in any way, not with Chandler out.

fish, they got off to a crap start last year.. what do you want me to say? they are off to crap start now? try visiting the denver board on realgm.. I said the same thing there.. sorry bro..

Denver is not good right now, but that will change when shaw gets a handle on the team and gallo and chandler returns..

But I will take it as a step further.. it doesn't matter if denver falls short this year.. they could easily win 40 games, get out lottery pick and still be in great shape...

so what more do you want me to say fish? I rather be in their shoes as would most reasonable NBA fans..

Myself no... Im not happy with the Knicks

Ok, and in the end, that is all that matters.. doesn't matter what denver does now as they are pretty much following their plan, and that hasn't changed...

And that is very understandable.. which is why I don't get how you can be down on what a team like denver, or any other team is doing... right now, almost any other option is better than what we are doing.. as a jet fan, i remember the kotite days... and boy I hated it... I am saying this not because I want to see the knicks fail.. I want to see them win.. but I after many years of being a yankee fan, jets and knicks fan have learned to see things for what they are really worth.. and I just think the knicks are pretty much in as bad as a situation as a team can be.. and I feel sorry for a few dudes on this team, as they are not deserving of this mess...

This is what sucks fish.. Knicks are capped out.. if they keep carmelo, they are not a contender, if they get rid of him they still are not a contender, but here is the problem.. we don't even own our own pick this year.. and that is because of him...

Had we owned our pick this year. missed the playoffs, it would not be that bad at all.. maybe we would get that player to help this team out.. and guess what, we get him on the cheap....

we dont' even have that.. I just wish fans stop fooling themselves... this is a mess.. maybe I am wrong fish.. but so far, all evidence leans to what I and some others have been saying..

thats all..

nuggets are doing fine rebuilding I guess, looking at guys they are going to draft in the lottery with the knicks pick I can only assume....

you bring up the nuggets and call me a troll.. that is just pitiful.. LOL

Nuggets arent rebuilding. They have massive flexibility and didnt miss a step after losing Melo right? Oh wait.. time to backtrack on an entire offseason's musings about how the Nuggets are better off. When they win a title in 2038 will be able to point to the Melo trade as the watershed moment.

nothing new to see here folks... move along.

On the topic:
Briggs... I see two quality players in Tyson and Melo. The rest are below average NBA starters if they are starters at all.

We have one top ten player in Melo. One top 30 player in Chandler and probably nobody else cracks the top 100. We lack talent. Point blank

no fish they didn't. they won more games than us and there is a good possibility they will be there collecting the knicks lottery pick this year fish..

maybe you should stay on topic.. your somewhat emotional potshots at me, don't seem to be working for you..

Yeah fish, don't you realize the key to life is collecting lottery picks? As the Nuggets will probably end up with a lottery pick of their own without help from the Knicks.

But wait, maybe it's all about first round exits! Or getting your COTY fired! You are truly just overemotinally blinded to see the beauty of well-run franchise, fish.

But that's okay, hopefully we'll be subjected to the neverending musings about Indiana now...

question.. why is it so important to you guys what denver does?

Are you truly happy with the situation the knicks are in?

you talk about being wrong.. what is there to be right or wrong about? the knicks are not in a good situation and you guys know it..

You are very focused on denver, and you thumb your nose at teams with draft picks and flexibility..

That has been a formula for success for a lot of teams..

what are we doing? has anyone ever won this way?

You guys bring up denver.. not me.. I understand what they are doing...they are in great shape...

We are not.. that is the problem...

so again, are you happy with the knicks?

2010 - Made the playoffs after being the absolute laughingstock of sports.
2011 - Got a playoff win
2012 - Second round of the playoffs.

You see how that works? I've been a fan since 1969-70.

Other teams starphucque and win, but you don't even bother to thumb your nose at that. Miami, Boston, LA all say hello.
Your singular melo hate blinds you to anything but negativity, which is why you surreptiously disappear every time we go on a protracted winning streak.
You see great shapes in first round exits for other teams.

"They" are always in great shape and "We" are not, no matter what the outcome.

"They" win 50-some games and are in great shape.
"We" win 50-some games and are a fool's gold franchise.

"They" compete in a tough Conference and are in great shape.
"We" get the second seed in our conference and are labeled meaningless.

"We" fire coaches and are a douchebag franchise.
"They" fire coaches and are building for the future.

Jrod, I think you look at other teams situations and think we are doing the same..

who starphuched and won without having that stud draft pick on their team already?

Miami had wade
Boston already had pierce and rondo

those teams didn't have to fleece their talent pool to put together a winner.. you do understand that right..

knicks were not in the same situation.

6 games in and now we're a lottery team and back to the laughingstock of sports. The past 3 seasons don't exist. You really don't see things clearly, do you?

You just don't get this whole fan thing, do you? Loyalty, maybe?

Yes I'm happy. I'm a Knick fan and there's NBA basketball that my team is partaking in it. I want to bury every team by 30 points. I want a chip. But despite the outcome, I'm still a Knick fan. I did not pay to become one. The Knicks, believe it or not, owe me nothing. Jim Dolan is the entitled owner of billions dollars, good for him. He's an unreasonable turd from what I can see. So are lots of people. I'm still a Knicks fan.

Here, you like analogies and repetition: you get married and have a kid, he's your kid, and he just doesn't perform up to snuff. Do you blame management? Do you constantly berate him because he's not Johnny down the street? Do you contantly point out everything he's done wrong and belittle any of his achievements because you admire Johnny down the street's approach to life so much more? Do you contantly remind him that he's not Johnny down the street and how much happier you would be if he were?

You pick a team, they don't pick you, tkf. If you hate this team and it's management as much as you seem to, why aren't you a fan of one of the other well-run organizations that you point out repeatedly, ad nauseum? I'm sure the Nuggets or the Pacers or the Warriors or the Rockets are just dying for knowledgeable, verbose fans like you.

Constant unflagging criticism is fine, but at the end of it all, what even makes you care about the Knicks?

Are you happy with your outlook? Are you?

what should the past 3 years mean jrod? we traded away the farm to basically get where we were headed anyway... i ONLY USE denver because they took our players and won more games than we did, except they have a solid plan in place with many picks to execute a number of scenarios.. we don't... so the last 3 years mean nothing because we haven't accomplished squat...

did we make the carmelo trade to accomplish this? really?

Here, you like analogies and repetition: you get married and have a kid, he's your kid, and he just doesn't perform up to snuff. Do you blame management? not a good analogy, but i will play along.. if my son isn't performing up to snuff, i will stay on him and remind him of that.. it is how i am, I won't accept anything else.. especially not from my kid.. and I feel the same way about the teams I root for.. you are right, we choose who to root for, therefore my standards are high, otherwise why waste the time and effort?

I don't belittle achievements, but I don't pump them up to be more than they are... what have the knicks achieved? considering the moves we made..

Are you happy with your outlook? Are you?

very happy.. at the end of the day, I am a NBA fan... I enjoy watching good basketball, and if the knicks can't give it to me, or won't.. then I will watch somewhere else.. I hope one day the knicks turn it around and do things the right way, but I am not going to fool myself into thinking we have gold when we don't.. simple and plain.. when the knicks turn things around, which I hope they do, I will go back to having a positive outlook.. until then... I will voice my displeasure..

You really don't see things clearly, do you?

I honestly think you should look in the mirror and ask yourself that...

This is so true. What is the last superstar the Knicks developed? Patrick Ewing. I think that says it all. This organization has no clue how to make talent into great players. They can take a good talent and make them into role players. Just look what they are doing to Shumpert instead of running plays for him and making him to a focal point they do nothing and make him stand around the perimeter.

LOL.. get off your high horse.. entitled my azz.... who wants to pay or spend time to watch an inferior product? as you said, we chose the teams we watch... is that how you conduct the rest of your life, you go out and pay for inferior products? entitled is thinking the knicks should be good, because they are from NY..

I don't care if the knicks lose, I care about being competent, having a plan... giving back to the fans what we give them.. if that is entitlement.. then so be it..

the other option is being a homer.. I leave that to you..

very happy.. at the end of the day, I am a NBA fan... I enjoy watching good basketball, and if the knicks can't give it to me, or won't.. then I will watch somewhere else..

Thanks, despite all the fluff bs, spoken like a true, entitled consumer.

This is all anyone need know.

LOL.. get off your high horse.. entitled my azz.... who wants to pay or spend time to watch an inferior product? as you said, we chose the teams we watch... is that how you conduct the rest of your life, you go out and pay for inferior products? entitled is thinking the knicks should be good, because they are from NY..

I don't care if the knicks lose, I care about being competent, having a plan... giving back to the fans what we give them.. if that is entitlement.. then so be it..

the other option is being a homer.. I leave that to you..

High horse, dude, you're not just an entitled consumer, which if you would just bother to read what you post would be obvious to anyone, but you define frontrunner as well.

If the choice is consumer of superior product/frontrunner versus homer, I'll take homer every time. Homers, by the way, don't have high horses to ride on. Fandom is supporting the product no matter how high or low it is. Criticizing it, sure. But we're talking pro basketball, not kitchen appliances or sports sedans. Or at least, I'm talking pro basketball. You could be talking about mutual funds.

I'll remain a fan/homer, and leave you to your educated consumerism.

Happy whining.

I think they are playing us as fans, they have us jonesing for the knicks to do well like we are watching a soap opera by being unpredictable. This is what DOLAN AND HIS SIDE KICK ZEKE is selling us.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

If Lance Stephenson had came to New York he wouldn't have been the player he is now. We would have ruined him like we are about to do with Shump.

Courage fellas. We have the same record as the Brooklyn Paper World Beaters and the drastically improved Chicago Rose!

And yes, this one fan thinks we can still compete for a chip. [no sarcastic smiley inserted here]

the problem with that is, that the nets and bulls seem to be in much better position to improve upon their situation.

it is like two people waiting on the unemployment line.. One barely graduated HS with little work experience, the other finished his Degree and has a ton of experience networking computers..

yes, both of them are in a rough spot, but wouldn't you say one is in a lot better position to rise out of this situation than the other?

Having the same record does not mean you are in the same situation..

nuggets are doing fine rebuilding I guess, looking at guys they are going to draft in the lottery with the knicks pick I can only assume....

you bring up the nuggets and call me a troll.. that is just pitiful..

Soon to be followed by "I didn't mention Indiana, you did..."

tkf, it's okay to be wrong occassionally. We humans live with it and move on.

question.. why is it so important to you guys what denver does?

Your singular melo hate blinds you to anything but negativity, which is why you surreptiously disappear every time we go on a protracted winning streak.

LOL, that is not true, but I know it made you feel better to type that.. so have at it..

2010 - Made the playoffs after being the absolute laughingstock of sports.

2013- potential lottery team, with no lottery pick, and back to laughingstocks of sports...

Are you happy with this Jrod? are you?

Are you?

Papabear Says

I's so happy you put it that way. I guess we all understand that the Knicks are doing bad right now and we all understand that and we don't like that. But TKF is a sick dude. If I hated the Knicks and Melo like he does then It's time to find a new team.

what should the past 3 years mean jrod? we traded away the farm to basically get where we were headed anyway... i ONLY USE denver because they took our players and won more games than we did, except they have a solid plan in place with many picks to execute a number of scenarios.. we don't... so the last 3 years mean nothing because we haven't accomplished squat...

did we make the carmelo trade to accomplish this?

Papabear Says

I know what TKF problem is, he dosen't know what a fan is or the meaning of a fan. A fan is with his team through the good and the bad times he dosen't run out on them and when they have a season to TKF liking they come back?? No TKF you are not a Knicks fan. You may be a fan of the NBA and if that the case go find another team to pick on because all you do is run the same old stats and say the same old things. When we could be in a discussion about another player on the team you always find a way to blame Melo and it's now getting to the point that it make me think that something is wrong with you. I'm serious !!

I am not sure how someone who likes the game of basketball can accept what this organization is doing.
Dolan is making a mockery out of it and still people are coming to see the stuppid clowns and eat all this crap.
No wonder this goes on and on from bad to worth. Why it would change? The Knicks fandom is heappy bunch.
And some who are not heappy are having problems... yeh... they sure do.
