Strange because it looked like a blunt type hit--usually that has to do with bone

I had that one pegged--actually thanks god. Bone will heal quickly especially since it s small--I had the same thing in my upper arm--was good in 5 weeks.

Wouldn't mind them keeping him out for longer so he can heal that chicken leg and play small ball.

Management can now justify trading Shump for some band aid big by the deadline. It's gonna be a long season

Thank God is right. If we can have success while hes out they can hold him out until he's absolutely ready. If we're actually a good team we will survive for now without him.

I'm rooting for losses and a complete overhaul because I don't trust this team with bandaids

They always become costly expensive bandaids

Papabear Says

There are Fans and there are half azz fans who get enjoyment out of misery of our team. They complain all the time and will to root against us with enjoyment.

Makes no sense. How many years did it take for the team to finally experience some success again. Rooting for the dysfunction and free wheeling ways of the past is beyond anything I would think a fan would want. And fans of this team no that there is no traditional rebuild because the picks were all traded during Walsh's tenure (grunwald traded 1 compromised first round pick during his tenure as the knick gm).

I know exactly what you mean. But you know where this franchise stands so why not hope for the best? Underperformance isn't going to make management blow it up.

peaking at the level of a second round thumping is not success, it is also-ran status. it is common knowledge that the knicks won't get as far as last season. melo wants to test free agency but also retire a knick, typical melo mindfuk doubletalk. dolan expects a title but wants to reduce the knick city dancers' role. yeah that will turn things around for sure lol.

it's a valid question: if the team has no chance of winning a title... then why wait, why pretend, why keep up appearances? or do you want to admit that you are simply content being entertained with melo on a max contract?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

The team gains nothing from losing because it doesn't have its pick this year. The team also won 54 games last year so the goal should be to build on that. Four games into the season to start rooting for losses so that the coach is fired and things become dysfunctional again is not the rational of a fan that wants his team to win in my opinion. There is nothing to gain from that. The Knicks have made all of the emotional reaction mistakes with coaches and players in the past. Not sure why anyone would want that to happen again. I think Knick fans need to hope that Dolan's attentions are drawn in a different direction and he lets his bball people do their job. I thought Grunwald and Woodson had a good thing going. Not sure what happened but Glen getting fired and Chris Smith not getting cut certainly signal the return of the owners dysfunctional presence on the team. I also think Woodson had a run where he had autonomy with his team. I think that is over and I also think losing Grunwald has to have impacted how hot his seat.

Well said. Only Knicks fans would want to blow it up after a 54 win season and your best player still being in his 20s. We have nothing to gain from blowing it up and this franchise will never be fully invested in rebuilding the way Philadelphia is, so what is the point of hoping for loses when that clearly won't be the direction chosen? For those trying to prove Melo isn't a franchise player and Dolan is an incompetent owner have at it, but it proves nothing. Those people should just stop wasting their time with this team and have fun rooting for a team that is trying to rebuild that way.
