He likes the hoops but has no idea how the thing works.
He has a lot money to waste and he wasted it on sport teams.
Not sure why any decent player, executive, coach, any man will be close to him except of sucking some money out.
Who wants to be around some stuff which stinks?

But do you think he's gonna demand some guys get traded, he sits right there on the front row on the side of the basket?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Carmelo has Dolan by the nuts. Even if Carmelo is good but not great this year--hes almost forced to give him the upper maximum---because Melo can simply walk out to a better team if they dont.

If he goes he goes. He is a decent player at best.

Dolan really rocked the boat with Grunwald firing and then the keeping of Chris Smith. I felt like Woodson was relatively autonomous in the past with Grunwald in place but now I think Woodson could be in some trouble. Keeping Chris Smith was a move that had nothing to do with winning basketball games. The firing of Grunwald made no sense. When weird stuff starts happening it is hard not to speculate how involved the owner is (i.e, forcing the playing of Amare?).
I liked the team of Woodson/Grunwald. Not sure what happens now but things seem to be in flux.

I think the things are shaping out nicely.
Convergence is always coming sooner or later.
Dolan and his cronies have to get what they deserve. And they will.

Did is ever occur to anyone , that James Dolan could possibly be some sort of drug abuser ?

Some of the rational decisions he's made over the years resemble that of someone on some type of substance abuse. see J.R Smith

Throughout his early adult life Dolan battled drug and alcohol problems and was reportedly known for having a volatile temper. In 1993 he was sent to drug rehabilitation at the Hazelden clinic in Center City, Minnesota.

I wonder if he has been to any Rehab facility recently ?

Firing , then re-hiring an employee over a badge incident..... think he might have had a relapse ?

Dolan rarely speaks with members of the media and communicates to the press through released statements or in interviews with MSG Network. In 2000, Dolan instituted media training for all Garden employees who might deal with the press and instituted an ironclad rule against team personnel criticizing others in the organization via the media.Under Dolan's watch MSG implemented controversial media policies limiting access to players. Some of these measures included prohibiting reporters and Knicks' beat writers from interviewing players without an MSG public relations official present, forbidding one-on-one interviews, and excommunicating writers who write articles critical of the organization. The policies also forbid the MSG Network from being critical of the Knicks and the Rangers, regardless of their performance. Such measures were not standard practice for other NBA teams. In addition, the Knicks did not make their medical staff available to the press. In 2004, longtime broadcaster Marv Albert's contract was not renewed by MSG Network, allegedly because of his criticism of the Knicks' play.

Dolan is the worlds worst negotiator, except when it comes to negotiating against himself.

There's really nothing much to say. He's the owner of our Knicks. He's cancerous. He has no clue, even David Stern the commissioner stated it. He's the ultimate problem of this team. I'm glad you're talking about him Playa2, but there's really nothing much else to say. ALL of his employees are scared of him and worry about their jobs. Legendary Phil Jackson refuses to work for him and he WAS a Knicks. The only one that's probably happy to work for the Knicks now is probably John Starks, but that's only because he's such a diehard Knicks fan like us (hell, i'll be complaining about Jimmy Dol still but will say he did the one right thing by hiring me).

There used to be several websites calling Jimmy Dol to sell the team his dad gave him. But now nobody talks about it anymore. Everyone's tired of Jimmy Dol's execution for this past decade and a half. That being said, I'm still a diehard Knicks fan and still will, just not talk about the Knicks much these days and focusing on my work. Maybe one day one of us will become filthy rich and buy the team out from him... oh god, that would be marvelous!!!
