Last night I found myself going in between games with the Knicks and the Nets. The Nets looked great. Name deffination and players we can identify with on the Nets. They beat up on the Heat. Then turning back to the Knicks with sloopy plays just a jump shooting team with no set plans. Listen I played basketball and I learned the game well. We had set plays and many of them. Deron Williams is Marbury Mark 2- he is going to be a headache as they start to decline. They should have cap space in 2016, but likely between now and then they'll add some crappy contracts in a desperate attempt to just make the playoffs (much like we used to do!).

thats not right.. the nets don't have picks in 2014, but they next few years, 15,16,17 are all options to swap and the way it looks, they will be better than the hawks or boston so they will keep their lower first round picks anyway.

when you have a top flight PG, which deron is, and a Good piece at center, which lopez is, you can always build around that. both guys are still fairly young, especially lopez who is only what, 25... they can still build from there...

The Nets have traded away their first round picks in 14, 16 and 18. In 15.... the Hawks have the right to swap.....so the Nets have little chance at a high pick. In 17.....the Celtics have the right to swap.....so essentially...the Nets may not have a decent first round pick until 2019. Further, the Nets also do not currently own a second round pick until 2017.....and in that year they gave the rights if a high second rounder in a swap as well.

Salary cap wise....the Nets are not in great shape either over the next 3 years due to high contracts for Deron, Bropez and JJ who will take up over 60 mil in space between them and this does not count if they resign Blatch to a higher number. It will be extremely difficult to sign or draft anyone of consequence over the next 4-5 years.

So in your zeal to hate on the Knicks....and talk up the Nets....please get your facts straight from the link you took the time to post LOL.

LOL.. so where am I wrong.. now you are changing it to having Decent first round picks.. just stop it.. the nets after this trade didn't count on having decent first round picks, since they figured to be good over the next 3 years anyway.. but they do have picks, just swaps...they don't have a pick this year, like us, and most of those years are swaps.. where are they wrong???? the nets do have picks... they are swaps!!!!! you do realize when you swap, you are gettin a pick back, and again, the nets figure to be good for the next 3 years.... what is your point again?

The nets over the next 3 years are positioned to be contenders, as of right now their next 3 years look better than ours..... period! could things change? possibly, but I am not counting on it...

There is real potential with that team. Deron is not even close to being Marbury, Lopez was hurt one season, and JJOhnson is a clutch performer. Then add the Boston duo as support with AK47 and Blatche off the bench and you got some serious depth.

I would not expect any true fan to accept anything otherwise!

Doc wasn't as concerned with winning the division. More concerned with limiting their minutes. Everything was derailed when rondo went down. Woodson was busy playing Kidd 30+ mins

That team was flailing around before Rondo went down. Get it right.
