Yeah, but there was no guarantee he would have left the clippers and signed with us- that team is better than a Knicks squad with only Melo and broken Amar'e and no center. Very few top FAs sign with another team as a free agent.

Lin is a C+ PG alright when he dropped 38 points on the Spurs when Harden sat out with an injury. This all came in the same year when he dropped 38 on the Lakers earlier. We aren't talking about the Bobcats or the Wizards here.

Go ahead and asked your deep end bench player if he can go out and produce those kind of numbers against an elite team. After all, people out there are still thinking Lin is nothing more than an over the top bench player. Well hell, if he's over the top, I'll take four of him for my team.

Well keep in mind that Felton dropped like 30+ on Miami when no MELO in the line-up. Felton stepped up in the playoffs too (even though many so called fans forget and still under appreciate this guys)

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

i like felton, he's our top dog

and lin is the future of the nba pg position,

lin defeats any challenge he faces, when he settles down: watch out,

lin will be an all star five years in this league, book it

Felton couldn't deal with Ty Lawson on the Nuggets, and Lin was losing time to Toney Douglas. (One was fat, the other was a) hurt, b) not used correctly, c) adjusting to Harden) And now Beverly.
Felton plays in the playoffs, Lin watches.

Seems like a simple comparison at this point.

I think the most jaded of cynical Knick fan would have to admit at some level that Felton and the second round is better the Lin and the first round

Is that all you care about? a player's salary? Are you for the game of basketball or are you an accountant? Dolan himself said money ain't a thang, baby. He changed his tune when it got too hot.

Money is always a thang and no I'm not an accountant. I was all for Felton over Lin from the start from the game of basketball perspective. Said from the go that we would get similar production from Felton at half the price. Was I wrong? Nope spot on actually.

Yet people would have lost their minds if the Knicks gave JR $12 mil a year yet for Lin it's who cares?

Today I still take Felton over Lin. I mean if Lin is the answer why is he battling with Beverly for the starting job. Personally I think Beverly has a higher upside and is a better player. And no....that's not hating on Lin it's simply my game of basketball opinion.

i think lin will overcome every challenge he faces, it's just a matter of time,

he needs to settle down as the top dog in houston,

still see a really bright future for the guy,

I think Felton is the better pg, today, and is far less turnover prone.

Lin is okay and will continue to get better but is not the world beater people proclaimed he'd be.

so, if he scrubs it up this season or, is supplanted by yet another guard, will you still feel the same way about him?

i don't see that happening and if it does he will have to look for a new home,

and the guy had a great season last year in a lot of categories for my fantasy team, he was a leader in steals, great value at the round i got him in,

we can't really say he was supplanted, he's houston's starting guard in the new season

do you not remember he was being outplayed by TONeY DOUGLAS, yes , that Toney Douglas.
this was the stuff of Lins nightmares:

It's okay to play in fantasy land, IWG, just don't live there.

he was a spot up shooter for most of the season with Harden dominating the ball. Dumdum Douglas was ahead of him...that says it all.

STEVE NASH WAS 30 when he finally turned the corner and started dropping buckets,

lin has time, and he has linsanity to boost him when he meditates on it,

HAHA! I am gonna assume this is sarcasm :)

Linsanity was great. I loved it. I managed to see The Gift - in person - once during The Linsanity.

However, it seems that Lin just got real hot for a few weeks then fizzled out.

He has a long career ahead of him and will improve but I like Felton more for this current Knick team mainly due to the fact that Lin is extremely turnover prone...

Linsanity was the peak and then league adapted. That strecth has never has been recaptured, now the infrquent good game that is had by many. He battles, he has nice size but he's rather average when factoring all. Glad that GG and org had the foresight not to match. Houston is now staring at paying $20 for him over last two years with $15 due in 14/15 just like with Asik. Good luck Houston. Maybe GG can enlist Hakeem to figure out how to move Stats remaining $45 for the balance of Asik and Lin $42.
