Deron of the bad ankles and Brook of the bad foot??

Not to mention KG and PP being old as the dirt.

Too many people overrating the Nets for their past accomplishments...

I guess brook is considered young and healthy until he has fourth procedure on the same foot.

I didn't/don't understand the hype behind the current Natz. Paul and Kevin were running on fumes and Doc was constantly fighting to get Garnette to become more offensive minded which, never happened. Why people seem to think they will be both rejuvenated and play like they did 10years go is beyond me.

I still say the Knicks are the better team and finish with the better record. Another division win is in the works.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Running on fumes was Jason Kidd and Rasheed. Did you see the numbers Garnett and pierce put up in limited minutes?

Completely different than the nets giving up 3 Tim Hardaway JR's for garnet and pierce. Key difference is they already have a healthy young core in place and wont be over reliant on them. We have Amare

Should I get hung up on the other three late second round picks from the two trades you referenced? Or the 2016 first round pick that Denver has the right to swap. I also am confused about flawed versus old players. Camby wasn't flawed he was old. The nets got old guys. Also, bargs is a young guy that has been hurt, in a bad situation and prior to being hurt put up good numbers.

Bargs and Bropez are similar in that they are both young, very talented and have missed a lot of games to injury. The difference is Bropez's injury has always been the same foot which is concerning. I think you can count on Deron being healthy to start the season next year. I would say the same about Bargs. Not sure about Johnson with the plantar issue. There were some big names struggling with that last year. It will be interesting to see how he, Noah and Camby bounce back from that.

How about the names of second round draft picks that are the same as first round picks except for the salary slots.

makes you wonder why those teams didn't win as many games as the Knicks last year since they played more games.

Nyets lacked leadership and toughness. They have that now and more

Im not trying to rain on anyones parade. I'm just trying to be honest. Anyone who knows me knows I despise the Nyets and nothing is worse to me than becoming second class citizens to the Nyets again

First round picks are the same as second round picks when a team makes a trade is not an irrelevant comment. It isn't right.

I never said they were. They are not much different than late 1st rd picks. Only difference is 1st round picks cost more money. The point is the Nyets are not going to be in the lottery so those late 1st rd picks won't matter. Once my and pierce are home they will have picks to move forward with other pieces. You are still not convinced proko will do whatever it takes to win EVERY year? Or at the very least win New York?

Some where along the line we dropped the ball again. When we trade a player or two we have to give up our draft picks. When another team trade their players they get draft picks. I took a good look at what the Nets did this summer and they cleaned our clocks. Here in New York is the Mecca of basketball and we can't seem to put a championship team on the floor. We over pay for everything we do. How could we have been so stupid to give Amare a deal like that knowing the shape his knees were in. Now we are screwed. Melo will opt out at the end of the season and if he grabs a max money with out trying to do the LeBron thing as to giving something back to help the team as him being the leader then I say let him go and we do what Boston is doing but Na we are too stupid to do that. I believe that New Yorkers are starting to say If you can't win with the team you love, then love the team across the bridge. The Knicks really have done nothing this season to really get better. We got Metta world peace at the end of his career. What happened to Chris Paul?? oh we got Tyson Chandler and over paid for a center who can't score who can't make a jump shot. I have not heard a word from the team leader Melo. Why wasn't he on the phones calling players to come to New York. If we had the players to trade for Rondo Boston still would not do business with us. They are rebuilding and they decided to give the Nets their top player to kick our ass until they are ready to do it again in a few years. I now believe that last season was it for us. In order for us to have a chance we must develop young players which the Knicks don't believe in. If the Nets kick ass this season the Knicks will become secondary and you will start seeing Knicks heads fans saying oh what the hell ain't no use the Knick ain't never gonna contend so let's go Nets. Dolan don't have a free pass anymore in New York. People are sick and tired of their bone headed moves and not being able to move at all and that's where we are at now. Come on a starting line up with Felton and Prigs and Shump?? or Bargs?? Who is that gonna beat. All Woody wants to do is shoot 3 pointers all day kiss JR's butt and we are not a good 3 point shooting team anyway. We just may be witnessing the Fall of the New York Knicks as the most popular team in the city. Hey I'm a New York Knicks die hard fan. But when I see a half ass team like this and we are pretending that we have something?? Come on now! Let's be real. We only have one big man 7 footer and we are running around chasing point guards instead of finding a big 7 footer who can shoot and defend. It's a big joke man. a big big joke.

It is simple.. he is not a leader and no one really cares about coming to play with the no defense playing ball hog... really dude, It is just that simple.. Carmelo is looking at his next big payday.. this guy cares about one thing only. and it ain't the knicks...

And stop blaming amare... the knicks are in this position because of all the bad moves after the amare signing.. just think, no carmelo trade, we still have the young guys, and picks... we most likely don't use our amnesty on chandler. therefore we would have that amnesty to use on amare had his knees still gone kaboom...

I now believe that last season was it for us.

you now believe that? so you were just disagreeing with myself, 3g, and dk for the heck of it? we pretty much were saying the same thing all year long?

In order for us to have a chance we must develop young players which the Knicks don't believe in.

I agree 100%.. but where are they? and how do we get them since we traded all of our picks for the foreseeable future?

Really papa, this isn't about what the nets are doing, this is and has always been about what we refuse to do... The nets may fall flat on their face, or they may win it all... good for them either way....But what they do, should not concern us at all if we are doing the right thing... We just never seem to do the right thing... and the nets are now in our back yard and they are making much noise.. we saw this coming. So did dolan... so really it isn't a surprise...

with that said.. welcome to the dark side.... muhahahahahahahaha!!!
