Ive been a Melo supporter but if he asks for that deal i will turn on him so quick. Everything he says about wanting to win would be BS u cant build a team with someone making that money. Well maybe with Lebron
Melo has always been about the money though. He just says he wants to win because it makes a good sound bite on sportscenter. If Melo really wanted to win he would have waited until the summer so the Knicks didn't have to trade away the entire team to get him. He deliberately forced a sign and trade so that he could get the max money he could get, good supporting team players be damned.
Again, the Nuggets were moving Melo and Melo wanted a deal before the lockout. Not too hard to understand. He was being moved at the deadline. It is fun to post fantasy scenarios that have the Knicks giving up nothing, Melo losing 25 mil and the Nuggets losing their franchise player just like the raps and cavs though.
Who care if they trade him or not? He HAS to sign a contract for him not to be a free agent. Wether he leaves the nuggets as a free agent or the nets as a free agent does not matter to me. The fact is if he wanted to come here he could have no matter how many times he was traded or no matter who he was traded to.
