Yes. He's 6'9 but has the wingspan of an eagle(7'5), thus why he's averaged around 2 blocks for his career.

Marc Stein is reporting that he's in talks to resign with Dallas. Guess they was just the another case of NBA Beat writers making stuff up. Next time I will wait to see a link before wasting my thought on something like this.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

maybe you shouldn't assume anything next time? the title clearly states, that the knicks are preparing an offer for brand, not that they signed him or anything. just sayin.

Brand would be a great pickup. Right now, he's far better than Bargnani.

If true not surprising always use the Knicks to get paid either by us or another team....We are the leveraging franchise.

thanks but I fully comprehended that and never made an assumption. I allowed myself to entertain the possibility before seeing a link but, thanks for responding.

Man, I'm still hopeful that he will want to finish out his career back home. He would go a long way in plugging up some of our roster holes.

Had Brand as one of #Knicks three free agent targets in Sunday Post's graphic. Continued interest shows they have to break up 3.1M midlevel.

Man, I'd look elsewhere if this is the case. I could go out and get a much younger equivalent that can do the same exact things Brand can where we wouldn't have to break up this $3.2m mini-MLE. We could keep that intact for a PG or something else. SMH..

During that stretch he was. I never said he was for the full season.
If you go by the advanced stats, it's ambiguous who the best player was for the full season.
If you go by the eyeball test, you'll just see what you want to see.

It doesn't make sense if the vet mini is 1.5 mil. Splitting makes little sense to sign brand.

Safe to say Chandler failed all tests last season, even the ball cough test.

they aren't talking about splitting the vet minimum...not sure that's even possible. They are talking about the mid level exception we still have.

I would not overpay this guy to come here...Let him go back to Dallas...Grunwald should feel confident that he can fill this need for a backup big man for far less money. I have no idea why he wouldn't feel that way. Why overpay and dip into this MLE for a guy that won't play more than 20 mins a game backing up the 4/5 spots?? We could get a young guy (with a higher ceiling than a 35-year-old Brand possibly -- maybe we could uncover a gem with a younger big) at league minimum money....At the very least, we could get Earl Barron who's a good 3-4 years younger than Brand, for the vet minimum...Backup PG is where I'd look to use the $3.2m exception. I mean what if there's nothing to this Eric Bledsoe thing, Collison won't take the mini-ML, neither will Devin Harris and there winds up being a bidding war for Aaron Brooks in a week or 2? Shouldn't we want the mini-ML for that scenario? I hope they know what they're doing man...Speaking of Bledsoe, I'd love to pry that kid away from the Clippers. For that, I'd be prepared to S&T JR Smith AND even include Hardaway Jr. if need be.

okay... I like Brand but I think this is slightly ridiculous that the team doesn't seem concerned with improving the perimeter

I think we agree. Sorry if it wasn't clear. I was thinking 3.2 split equals 1.6.

They're reportedly looking at Francisco Garcia, Aaron Brooks etc. There's not too much you can do with the current cap situation.
