Knicks roster now at 6--my bet is they want JR back but only for 2 years with a team option on yr 3. Thats the best I would do.

I think your talking sense. I like the option as well. I would have to let him walk if he wants a longer deal

Just think about it. If we didn't have JR this past season, do we win the Atlantic.....NO. Dude went on a slump.....it happens. At the same time, the whole team was pretty much slumping too. Felton was ineffective against Indiana alone with pretty much everyone else. Why we're making JR the whipping boy idk.

We need JR, warts and all. What I would like to see if a reduction of his minutes and maybe he should be treated more like a roll player instead of having the green light to shoot like he's a premiere player.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

If J.R takes the $ from a rebuilding team, it shows you just how much winning means to him, which means we know where he's head is at and we don't need him, it would also mean all that " I want to retire a knick" was a smoke screen to boost the price up for who ever wants his service

He knows the max we can give him, so like cp3, he needs to make a decision so we can focus our attention to other needs

JR bolting will go down as one of the greatest days in Knicks history. We don't need a bonehead who shows up for 5game stretches when pushed by the coach then reverts back to his inefficient ways for the next 15games and goes off the deep end when we need him most in the playoffs. And shows up to key playoff games hungover while shooting 20%

Get home out of Shumpert and Tim Hardaways way. You can find another st that is efficient and consistent. JR doesn't deserve $5.5mil+ from the Knicks. Not after he let everyone down. Let him go to Detroit and average 15pts while shooting 39% JR is not made for NYC

Shumpert in yr 3 without a full training camp under his belt is already a more efficient offensive player. Handles the ball better, makes better decisions and is on another level defensively. How many times did JR get blamed for being the one to screw up the defensive play because be didn't fight over a pick? He takes too many plays off on defense. Good riddance

The more games I watch of Hardaway the more Im encouraged. I thought he looked like an average NBA player from a far this season. Now that im strictly focusing on him I've become a lot more impressed. The only thing that bothers me is he lacks length. This will hurt his defense. he is going to have to play with a lot more effort to make up for it

He hits the midrange jumper. That right there makes him more valuable than JR off the bench. I don't have the stats but I'd venture to say JR hits lets than 30% on wide open midrange range jumpers and slightly better on 30ft three pointers and off blanced 20 footers

Hardaway
An uptempo pg
Brand
Amare

Off the bench is more than enough offense. We don't need the bonehead. He exemplifies everything that went wrong with this offense
