why does this organization continue to trade firs round picks. lets be honest it hasnt exactly helped us much since 2000. I mean yes we had one very good regular season and we barely won a playoof round against a wounded celtic team

But with Camby gone their goes the rest of our interior defense except for Tyson. Is getting K-mart back a sure thing? People here killed Gallo, wait till this dude steps on the floor. Couldn't we just get Ryan Anderson instead for cheaper still?

You sure we could have gotten Anderson for cheap? Woodson didn't use Camby in the playoffs after Camby was over his injury. Don't know for sure what the deal was between them, but it was apparently enough for NY to ship him out with Novak and a first round pick.

I'm not expecting much from Bargnani, just not all that broken up about who we are sending to Toronto. I agree the first round pick is overkill.

Where did you hear that?

Getting Bargs means he will start and not sure if plays more PF or C bts it would tend to mean we would trade Chandler. Hopefully we get someone who is a rebounding machine and knows how to box out.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Bargnani isnt a bad player but as a Knick fan you always worry about injuries and how they fit with melo and woodson's system

This is a good deal IMO. For one thing we're talking about adding a legit player who can score and has great size. He's not a perfect player, but then that's why we have a shot at adding him. We needed scoring and Bargs is a gifted scorer. I don't care about future draft picks at this point in time. THIS IS A NOW TEAM and we can't waste anymore time trying to get to an ECF and a chance to go to the Finals. It's either try moves like this or start over by blowing it all up now. That's not an option, so you've got to try and add talent.

We need more talent... period. This could be a new start for Bargs. Sometimes players need a change of surroundings and in NY he won't be the top dawg so he can relax a bit and just play. I think it's worth a shot, cuz the rest of the East isn't getting any easier. He's a player that should work well with Melo's game.

The Knicks should have a no trade rule for that Massai guy. He always kicks our butts in trades. Now that I think about it we get our butt's kicked in most of our trades.

Everyone kicks our butts in trades. From the bulls to the nuggets and now to the crappy raptors.

Nets used 3 draft picks to get KG and PP we use one to get bargs. Do you think bargs is worth anywhere near 33% of what KG and PP is worth?

Trade a first rounder for a player who will get shut down and "sonned" come playoff time?

I think we should be acquiring as many draft picks as possible.

A strong facilitator who can penetrate and get everyone on the team involved in the offense making us a lot more dangerous.

A shooting guard who can shoot and defend.

A big who can help Chandler defend the basket, hit an open jump shot, can make a jump hook with consistency.

Most challenging- acquiring a superstar player (draft or free agency).

I do not think Carmelo is a winner. He is a 2nd or 3rd fiddle player.

He got booed everytime he stepped on the floor in Toronto. IN TORORNTO!!!!!! But for Novak and Camby I would be OK, the pick is what kills me though.

i agree in fact if it was only novak and camby it would be a good trade. We basically gave up 3 picks for a guy that was gonna be amnestied

Well it's the Denver swap - so that partially mitigates the risk.

I guess thats true. But i hears we also gave away a couple of 2nd rounders too. Those drafts will be much deeper than this year so that hurts

I don't care where the pick is. Its the mindset that we have with all our trades. We are always the ones giving picks away. We had the oldest team in the league last season because we always give away our picks. As many predicted they broke down over the course of the season. We just gave a 1st for a person who they nearly amnestied!! I don't know how anyone could be in favor of this.
