Why? Lets start with Novak and LIN

lets start with the fact that the effect that the melo trade has had on this team means we are now scraping the barrel to get overpaid and bad players onto the knicks. i don't see how anyone can avoid making this connection. NO to cousins he's a moron and NO to evans he is a tweener. NO to zero-sum and negative-sum players!!!

imagine that this tool carmelo anthony whines about needing another scoring option. the nerve of this clown. he has got to have the lowest BBIQ of any scoring champion in the history of the NBA. when will the knick fanbase get wise? he needs to get in shape, learn how to pass, learn how to dribble, learn how to use pump fakes, develop footwork, learn not to be in love with himself.

carmelo anthony needs help alright....

Melo produces. Amare is busted. Walsh spent two years shedding picks, players and youth so the Knicks would have the cash to sign a guy to a max deal that had uninsurable knees and a timeline for how long he could play. I don't know how anyone can ignore that or keep pointing to the healthy star player that was brought in to be the second star for walsh's plan.

wrong. you don't bring in a second star that is as redundant as melo is relative to stat. all that happens is either one player gets marginalized or displaced or they fail to mesh. there is no upside to acquiring melo, and using stat's injury status is just a convenient deflection of that reality.

What happened was the timeline for one guy to play post surgery expired and he is now a boat anchor on the salary cap. The knicks gave up a lot to have the ability to handicap themselves cap wise like that.

year one we get swept in the first round. year two we lose in five games in the first round. year three we make it to the second round and last six games.

are you saying with a healthy stoudemire we make it to the conference finals this year?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I agree with most of your assesment in regards to melo, except for the getting in shape. Last yr he came into the season in very good shape after playing in the Olympics, for the 1st 6 wks he was everything we wanted him to be, passing, playing D, shooting in the flow of the game.

Adding Tyreke or cuzn to a veteren squad, with a no nonsense coach can't be all that bad..it beats having high Character guys who are constantly injured or old and can play big minutes. both of these guys are young, and have played in a losing situation..

I didnt say that. I think Walsh was a disaster. However, his plan was for two stars. Amare has the worst contract in the league. Knowing his medical history, the timeline given post surgery, and the fact that his contract couldn't be insured but still signing him to a max deal put the knick franchise in a horrible hole. You weren't bumping around here last year when I was complaining about the pick he gave away to Houston Walsh was a disaster and I think in the future he will be held in the same regard as isiah and Layden.

Whoa now, I dont think Walsh did a good job but he wasnt anywhere near as horrid as those 2.The thing that I hated about Donnie was he hired a system coach and only drafted players that fit Dantonis system.I thought that was a bad way to rebuild. I would rather take the most talented players and let the chips fall as they may.We werent going to be good anyway so why not take a better player like Brook Lopez.I thought we hit the jackpot with Lopez and when we passed I was pissed. At least though with Galo it wasnt like Hill. Why is it with the Knicks do we have to tell the whole NBA what are plans are all the time. We went door to door telling any 1 that would listen how much we wanted to draft Steph Curry. Why the F did they do that. Here is are organizational plan the next 5 years these are the players we want in the Draft and FA. These are the contracts we want to trade.Stupid
