CP3 is displeased about a different kind of issue, not similar to Dwight's

CP3 if he leaves could end up in Dallas

Regardless we have zero shot at landing either.

Lakers dont need to endear themselves for him to stay. They can pay him an extra year of 20+ million. Money talks. Lakers have cap space in 2014 when Bosh and James can enter free agency as well. No one knows what's going to happen.

Padre Riles not going to let LeDouche without a fight.

Well then he's going to Houston, that settles that. Obviously Dwight isn't about money otherwise he would have taken the orlando extension and then opted to be traded a la Melo

Dude how is he a lock to go to Houston?

What's hilarious is Houston TRADED for the best player on their team. If Harden really wanted to be a Rocket he should have taken the Qualifying Offer and signed with Houston summer 2014.

If Howard wasnt about the money he wouldnt have OPTED-IN to his last year of his contract. Howard would have been a free agent LAST summer if he wasn't about the money. He obviously is. Nice try though.

Wrong....he opted in so he could dictate where to be traded in February(basically killing option to be traded) and stall the Magic's attempt of doing it then. If he didn't care and was just about the money he could have locked himself into guaranteed dollars without having to risk negative backlash that he's received and decline in play from injury.

Did Orlando trade him still yes but during the off-season, which left the door open for Brooklyn.... although Orlando stated they wouldn't trade him there.

Hence he hasn't committed to the Lakers although $20-30mil more is there for the taking....obviously he wants to dictate where he plays and that's been his MO from jump. If he can get the money in the process great, but he wants control of his HORIZONS!!!!

Harden was smart...... he knew what his market value was but also he knew he wanted to be the man as soon as possible and get a head start on. recruiting....There was no gutting of the team and numerous future assets to acquire him....he knew cap space was coming immediately afterwards.

Dude you dont even believe that.

He opts-in to dictate where he will be traded to the NEXT year.

see what happens when you are patient, make smart moves and preserve your assets at the right time?

That doesnt count.....

Lin will actually have to make jumpers since Howard will clog up the paint.

What's the 2013-14 salary cap going to be around? How much does Houston need to clear?
They have only $38 mil in guaranteed salaries. Then, not counting Garcia and Brooks, they have about $7.5 mil in players with team options. I'd try to keep Delfino ($3 mil), Parsons (<1 mil), Smith (<1 mil), and Beverly (<1 mil) too but they may have to let Delfino go.

If Howard goes to Houston it will be another Laker situation where there will be internal strife over who's team it is? I could see Howard complaining Lin is taking too many shots. At that point Mchale will plant Lin's butt on the last chair of the bench! Howard is a tremendous talent but he is selfish and you can't win with players like that!

That may be the case but it's unclear. When playing in OKC, Harden showed an extreme willingness to put the term first. Not only did he defer to Durant and Westbrook in terms of shot attempts, but he didn't even mind being a bench player.

Harden had to be a team player in OKC they had options 1 Durant and 1A Westbrook. In Houston he is the man and also a team player! I think adding Howard would disrupt team chemistry big time! Howard wants to fill up the stat sheet every night. That said I can't even offer up a team that needs Howard as a final piece. The hot trend now is small up tempo lineups with biggs the play facing the basket. Howard proved last year his game isn't suited for that style. Granted Hardhead Mike only marginally attempted to change things.
