Wow this tells me that they players were on the same page for game 2 but not game 3 for the coach and his game plan.

One thing I hate is a player who doesn't bear personal responsibility ...Tyson STFU and grab a rebound...We are getting killed on the boards and apparently you aren't playing defense this year...Grab a mofo board...Look in the mirror and ask what have you done to help your team win...Or when was the last time you helped in that department...How about stopping the stupid fouls...

This......Ontop of that, if he was taking a subliminal shot at Melo, game 3 wasn't the game to do as Melo only took 16 shots and sat on the bench for most of the 3rd Q.....

Could have been a shot at JR. I dont know how many shots he took, but he holds the ball so long and rarely gives it up. His decisions need to be quicker.

I think this could be the strongest case for us trying to pursue a floor general to help direct the offense. I like Melo's game but he holds the ball too damn much on occasion. We need a guy that can create shots for others to alleviate our iso-heavy offense and to get in Melo's face if need be when he deviates from this gameplan. Rajon Rondo anyone?

Carmelo Anthony intends to privately speak with Tyson Chandler about comments made by the latter about him being too selfish in Game 3.

"You want to take over the game or you want to make a big shot where you (should) stick to the game plan," said Chandler, not mentioning Anthony by name. "A good team wins basketball games. Unless you’re a great, great, great, great individual…and we only have a few of those come through.”

Anthony was asked about the comments on Monday.

"I really don’t want to go back and forth about that because I really don’t know exactly what he’s talking about. But if he feels that way…we’re about to get together right now and discuss that amongst ourselves and figure that out. Just get his take his perspective on that comment. And we’ll handle that internally and figure that out amongst ourselves."

Via Frank Isola/New York Daily News

Good way to handle it. Bad that this needs to happen though.

I dont know man. This team has shown they're capable of playing with the big dogs when the commit to it. I just cant understand why they get away from what works.

Real shytty timing by Tyson to throw Melo and Jr under the bus. Did he not see the pile of shyts thrown up by the rest of the team(Felton, Kidd, Shump, Prigs)?

Of course not, he hit 75% of his shots, but still got demolished by Hibbert.

When we win, it's because we move the ball effectively. A floor general would guarantee that happens more consistently and efficiently.

You're right. Consistency is the key with this team. However, we dont have many options at obtaining guys like Rondo. The oddest thing about Tysons comments, as Uptown said, is that Melo didnt even shoot that much. The shot distribution was actually pretty good. It seems like more of a problem with Tyson right now than anything else.

I guess Chandler missed some of these clips. Then again maybe it is a part of the offense to have Tyson stay 15-17 ft away where no one guards him and sag off to defend the paint?

Decent breakdown on some of the game 3 offense or lack there of.

You're definitely right about us not necessarily having many assets to obtain an elite floor distributor. What we need to do is get creative and figure out how to leverage other teams' situations to improve our bottom line. For instance, the Raptors leveraged the situation of the Grizzlies and Pistons to obtain Rudy Gay, a far superior player to anything they gave up. We should be looking at malcontents with superior talent in the league (e.g. Brandon Jennings, Pau Gasol, Danny Granger, etc.) and figure out ways of redirecting them to other teams in order to get what we want (e.g. Rajon Rondo).

As much as our players are underperforming, I think the bulk of their failures rests on Woodson's shoulders. The guy has historically been an awful playoff coach and is cementing that reputation here in New York. His pre-game and in-game adjustments are atrocious, two skills that are imperative for playoff success.

While I think Tyson picked the wrong game to do it, it needed to be said. Those guys have been selfish and medicore most of the postseason. They kill the entire offense just about every game. All it takes is a couple of passes from Melo and he opens up the floor for everyone including himself. JR is useless and will never learn. He literally takes a bad shot every time he checks into the game.

Melo has no excuse. Durant has been leading his team in every category during the postseason. No reason Melo shouldn't be 8rbs 5ass every single night.

Tyson, is just horrible. If you're a center you need to go get double figure rebounds. If you haven't developed on move in a 10 year career that's on you. Go get the ball, body someone up and stop with all the stupid fouls.

Keon Clark was horrible. Tyson's having a horrible series but calling him horrible is ridiculous. I've seen Tyson make an occasional low post move or spin move on offense. I think he can do more and hit at least in the upper 40% but that's obviously not the role he's been given on this team.
I do agree with the rest of what you wrote though.

horrible knick playoff career for Tyson is more like it.

Melo should be an 8 reb and 5 guy. he picked his boards up the 1st two games and need to stay that high.

Tyson Chandler just committed suicide. We already know Dolan doesn't like the drama in the media.

Chandler is a career LOSER. Lets keep it real. Dude got abused by Hibbert yesterday and wants to cry about the offense. .

Chandler should have kept his comments to himself with his lack luster performance. Hibbert was grinning from ear to ear the entire game.

He kept giving me flashbacks of Jason Terry's annoying giggles.

The myopia is shocking. Perhaps other than the ring, gold medal, all-star appearance, all-defense first and second teams, and DPOY, he's a career loser

Grunwald has to be on his game with that one. He'd also have to basically give up on Ray as the PG. Also, I see what you're saying about Woodson. I dont want to put too much blame on him though especially since he cant make Chandler play like he has some balls. I am concerned that the team can just keep randomly coming out with a lack of effort though. I dont know who shoulders the blame with that one.

I thought the already had given up on Felton as pg? He's been playing sg for a while now.
