To be fair you watched hardly any games this year so none of your opinions are actually based on anything.

That's not being fair,

you don't really have to watch any games to know what's going on in the league,

this is 2013 we are living in now, the wonders of the information age,

plus do you see how astute of an observer I am? I'm painfully intelligent, so much so that my capacity is a liability in most environments.

Painful is the key word. How much does it really hurt when you think?
I'll one up you and say your capacity is probably a liability in all environments.

not all, not at all,

you know panos, you laugh at me, but it is not so easy always being the smartest guy in the room, find some compassion in your cold heart

I can only imagine how hard that can be! My heart goes out to you!
So when are they letting you out of solitary confinement, anyway?

we must push the jokes aside now,

on the surface, you would think being very smart can only be a great thing,

but i am not ****ting you here: in most environments it's a big problem,

i've gotten better over time by learning how to adapt to regular people, but this gifted impulse is always there, on some level i will forever be out of sync with my fellow man

Something along those lines.

I'd love to have Amare on either Melo or Tyson! Tyson might get a dozen alley-oops per game and Melo wouldn't need two healthy shoulders to dominate!

Bonn, I hope you see this.................................. Cosign 1000%.

Amare for 10 minutes or less, I hope.

I am surprised Briggs, because you always said in a couple of other threads that our 4-1 is how we can win a title. Unless you don't believe we can get back to that against that play us not as Cheap/physical as the Celtics, Amare playing major minutes kills that style for us.

To be fair, OBM did walk right into that one.

Chandler and Martin must continue to split minutes at center (32 for Tyson, 16 for Martin unless foul trouble ) and amare backup Melo for 10-12 minutes per game. Can't move Melo to SF unless its just for a little bit. I just don't see Amare being a valuable asset for more then 10-15 mpg without disrupting this teams offensive and defensive flow. This team is built around guard play and spacing, what is working in the new nba era. Amare doesn't help us in any area related to spacing or ball movement.

What offensive and defensive flow? What have you been watching?

I might be the only one who thinks for this series Melo should go back to SF. They need Amare for this series because West is gonna have a field day on Melo.

But Amare is going to stop him?

I know Amare will give the team more length and yea with Melo at SF and Amare at PF the team rebounding also increases. At the same time Amare has to be accounted for on the offense. I understand that Amare is no longer a fan favorite and is flawed player but we get nothing offensively from the C position. Before he went down he was coming along and getting into a groove. I'm sure he will be rusty but the Knicks do need him they need someone who can get easy baskets. I'm seeing that the Knicks have to work so hard to get easy baskets.

How many times did you see Hibbbert and West catch the ball deep in the paint and flip the ball into the basket. The Knicks need Amare for that.

If you're expecting Amare to improve our defense you're going to be sorely disappointed.

Melo at 3

Copeland at 4

Get Stat on Game 3 and use him at 4 and sometimes at 5.

Amar'e makes no one else better but Amar'e

Smith makes no one else better but Smith

Melo makes no one else better but Melo

Therefore adding Amar'e at this time creates more of a CLUSTERFLUCK...NO THANKS I'LL PASS

Amare would probably only get like 7 shots. Guess what % the players other than Melo and JR shot yesterday? .553! Melo & JR scored 44 points on 43 shots and the rest of the team scored 51 points on 38 shots. Maybe Melo & JR should trust their teammates more regardless of whether Amare plays. I hate the fact that Melo and JR feel they have to take 25 and 15 shots every day.

Amar'e is NOTHING like Melo or JR. Amar'e for his career is one of the most efficient players in NBA history. Before he got hurt he was scoring at 58% and had a PER of 22. He was helpful to this team as a big man. He was drawing fouls and he hit FT's at 80%. We won't need him for major minutes, but those minutes could be huge for this team.

You also have to remember that having Amar'e out there effects the way the Pacers defend and that could open up single coverage for our perimeter players.

Hibbert doesn't even pay attention to Chandler or Tyson because they can't really score, he just stays there and cloggs the lane and blocks shots and alters them, he cannot do that with Amare on the court because stat can score on the inside and he can shoot.
No layups!
Amare please come back:) please
