The thing that kills me about Breen is that he is guilty of doing the exact thing he accuses Melo and JR of doing...He is clearly sulking after MDA/Knicks breakup and he blames Melo...He went on Michael Kay show and said that Melo is in NY to be a celebrity...Totally uncalled for..Is it too hard to ask him to be a professional and broadcast the games without his personal feelings getting the better of the broadcast...Isn't this the very thing he pouts constantly about when Melo and JR argue calls...Chandler cries about calls more than anyone and Breen never says a thing about Chandler...

Listen to him more carefully when he's not calling a knick game and see if you agree with his calls, then ask yourself who's really being bias. If you think melo took 29 good shots your freaking blind.

I recall breen saying Melo started hot going 4 for 4 then went 0-5 finsihing the half 5 for 12, which meant in went 1-8 after the hot start. He forced some shots, held the ball too long, and had a couple TO's.. By half time everybody was questioning the too much meloball.

But since BREEN MADE SOME NEGATIVE COMMENTS about his play, and didn't sugar coated like a HOMER, he's being bias..

Breens not perfect, but I have had league pass for 7 years and some of the homers I hear are god awful.

The best to me is HUBBIE BROWN!!

Melo took about 10 awful shots last game and was isoing us out of the game in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Breen was absolutely terrible. There, it's not only the melo homers that see it.

To put things in perspective, Reggie Miller is often kinder when speaking of certain Knicks players than Mike Breen, FREAKING REGGIE MILLER. When Reggie Miller is less biased than you during Knicks games you should probably consider your employment with the team "you grow up loving".

Yes, I have had League Pass for 3 years and I agree there are worse broadcasters than Breen, but they are not employed by ESPN to be "unbiased", and they only do the games of their local teams for a reason. In all my time listening to them, I rarely hear them make under-handed snarky comments disparaging the talented players on their teams. Better to be a homer broadcaster than a liar, at least you can appreciate their affection towards their home team. I don't see how Breen's passive aggressive word-vomit doesn't irritate you. It's like that bandwagon friend that we all have that claims to be a lifelong knick fan and gets up and shrieks every time Lebron dunks on us. Lifelong Knicks fan? OKAY, if you say so.

So if melo takes a bad shot and breen says "melo with an awful shot" or "not a good shot by melo" that makes him bias..But if a Fan says it, it's understandable..

No, the "melo with a bad shot" vs. "pierce way off" argument was not mine. It goes beyond that. For instance, Melo was playing stingy D and Breen said "Melo is just begging for a foul" vs. "Pierce is playing really tight defense". This is what I am bothered by. You don't see the difference in these quotes? They are not paraphrased.

That is a great example. I love when Hubie calls Knick games. He gushes over good play and calls out bad plays no matter who it is.

I bust out laughing and haven't stopped. That's not right. I have thought it but still. I actually like TKF's posting though.

It is really not a Melo and Breen thing. He has a specific type of NBA player and play in his mind that he likes. He will kill Westbrook and praise Rose when they do the same things. I realize Rose doesn't have a Durant but still. He is who he is.

And what really grinds my gears is Breen's "AND JUST LIKE THAT, IT'S DOWN TO...," which he says with such emphatic adulation, like a young pubescent boy touching his first tit. In fact, I suspect, Breen eagerly awaits his chance to utter those words, as he verbally prematurely ejaculates that expression countless times (AND JUST LIKE THAT, THE LEAD IS DOWN TO 18!).

He sucks.

This post on RealGM literally made me spit out my drink.

Now for those who say that Breen is a little less antagonizing against Melo and J R. Smith on a national telecast listen for the lil digs like him using the word "Dumb" or "bad shot" or a lack of whatever , compared to how he comments against the Celtic players.

Wow the world of difference between here Marv Versus Breen is Stark. I haven't heard one jaded remark from the commentator tonight, it actually feels like the knicks are the 2 seed at home listening to the game.
