Really?

I watch 5 games, enough, you know how this team plays, not something I can stomach

You cannot stomach Steve Novak's jump shot, Jason Kidd's leadership and rebounding, Kurt Thomas' courage, Rasheed Walace coming out of retirement on request, Amare working with Hakeem, the 35 years old rookie Pablo Prigioni (who has a better handle than Lin, makes better decisions with the ball and plays better defense)...

Chris Copelend, who has persisted and finally reached his goal of the NBA, I Man Shumpert battling back from a devastating knee injury faster than you can say Derrick Rose,...

you cannot stomach these stories?

You must not be able to stomach something in particular. The team is a combination of individuals. Since you are still angry about the loss of Linsanity, why don't you follow the Rockets, or watch their games?

or is it deeper than that?

in your mind, anyone that does not love some thing which you will label sacred is a bad person,

which is an interesting view from someone who tries so hard to establish himself as some authority.

cleverness and wisdom do not automatically go together

the celtics worry me.... they have one thing we don't.... other than pierce..... and that is Poise....

TKF i NEVER discount rivers' leadership or complete players like garnett. and anyone who has won a finals MVP like pierce-- also a complete player-- i hold in the highest esteem. i'm also a fan of this kid bradley.

that said, i have a question for you: are they sandbagging lately? because they got beat bad at home by the nets the other day. i did not see the game but getting beat by the nets on your home floor means they are either gassed or sandbagging.

what's your take?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

yea, i know you're clever,

to be totally honest, i don't feel like doing this with you, i have to be in the mood, so maybe another time.

point is that it's not a style i enjoy, it's not something that appeals to me,

i'm a d'antoni/jeremy lin type of guy,

there are different types of fans, you have to respect that.

but on topic: i gave good reasons for why i do not believe in this team for the playoffs, that is that they fluctuate between extremes and lack a middle balance, but then we got sidetracked to ideology discussion

So you're the type of guy that likes mediocre, turn-over prone players and stubborn coaches that only focus on one side of the floor?...interesting. I get what your saying, but the examples you chose are bizarre to me.

There endeth the lesson of this thread.

The run is over. Melo shot less than .50% in a game.
The somber sun is chasing those homermooby clouds away.

Welcome back, tkf and crew! We missed you!

I think the somber reaction has become your favorite. You talk more in delicious anticipation of it than the actual games itself?

Please, Allow The Answer Man To Hold The Door For You

IronWillGiroud - i'm a d'antoni/jeremy lin type of guy,

Oh, NOW we get it...Why didn't you say that in the first place? You prefer inflexible coaches who have limited interpersonal skills and one-dimensional tactical approaches. Glad we got that cleared up.

I'm a Pablo Prigioni type of guy.

IronWillGiroud - just one question, why aren't you a Steph Curry type of guy?

in fairness, it is silly to trust any team. Just enjoy the ride while you can and judge them on what they actually do as opposed to your projection of what they might accomplish.

I still get upset about that - no one in front of the Knicks would have picked him had not gushed about him in front of the NY reporters. What an idiot

IronWillGiroud claims pride in NOT watching the games. How twisted is that?

Why? Because a coach and player who he adored have left the building?

Gimme a break.

+1
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Trust? No this team is up and down. But exciting? Hell yeah. How can you not watch this team? They could go out first round or go all the way(maybe a stretch). I guess all you Yankee and giants fans are spoiled that ECF would be a let down or something...

spurs fans can trust their team to come correct every day, year after year after year, after year

so it exists.

do not read 'trust' as in trusting a person, but 'trust' in the sense that you can rely on some basic level of performance

Yeah, probably the most consistent team over the past decade. If that is the only acceptable level of consistency, then maybe you need to lower your standards.
