Do you trade everyone and start fresh for the next free agent period and try to grab two big names?

Or do you just try to dust yourself off and go even harder next year, resigning JR SWAG and the gang?

Make the big moves clear the tables
Dust yourself off, Felton Melo and Amar'e will get it together after a full offseason without injuries to mesh

Sorry not satisfied with that. Knick fans have gone through 12 years of misery with 1 playoff win. I need to see them at least go to the ECF and have a cometitive 6 or 7 game series with miami

then get in stewie's time machine and undo the melo trade

Sorry but that team we had was nothing but a 500 ball club if that. they were exciting to watch but that team was going no where. It was not the Melo trade. It was getting rid of Zack Randolph, and Crawford plus giveing them away cheap along with other pieces because we thought we had LeBron in the bag and we didn't. Melo had nothing to do with our fire sale. You can't put that blame on him. Zack Randolph is putting up great numbers and we gave him away for what??

what part of roster flush eludes you? the barn needed to be cleaned of all the bull**** that isiah thomas dumped thanks to years of snake oil. walsh did the right thing by swapping longer bad contracts for shorter bad contracts. not walsh's fault that lebron duped the nba. what you are advocating in your post is horrible, namely continuing the isiah thomas tradition.

but let me guess-- you are one of the proud few who defended isiah thomas to the bitter end. am i right?

You are sooo wrong. Stay in your dongeon and complain. But here's what I'm gonna do. I'm going to some Knicks games and enjoy myself. Unlike you I refuse to be on the Dark side like you just hattin and hopin that they trade Melo but guess what?? Melo will be here for a long long time so you just stay miserable and complain about Melo it won't get you nowhere. Dolan owns the team last I heard. Or just maybe you can get some of you money people and buy the team so you can bring back your favorite players. I'll just enjoy this season that has been the best in over ten years.

the difference between you and me is that when someone is pissing down my leg i don't pretend it's raining.

this team is not getting to the ECF papabear. let the excuse making begin!

The difference between you and everyone else, is that we realize that endlessly peeing down your own leg is not a pleasant way to live.

so stop peeing down your own leg if you find it so unpleasant! accept that the melo-era knicks are what they are.

You see, communication is a fine art. I'm a Knicks fan. I'm happy with Melo. I'm already happy we're in first place in our division. I've accepted reality. Happily. I did not cry when we signed Amare. I did not wave buhbye to Gallo or Wheeelson or Moz with hysterical, long-term depression in my heart.

Another difference between you and everyone else, is we know when we're peeing on ourselves while posting on UltimateKNICKS. You apparently don't.

My legs are dry and happy. Try to have fun watching the games.

it's getting harder to watch this team knowing that their ceiling is 2nd round and out with a possible woodson-like annihilation of 4-0 or 4-1. worse, it is also looking probable that it's a melo-special first round buh-bye should we be forced to face boston or chicago.

i thought the consensus for most of us was a significant ECF appearance. maybe you felt differently but if you didn't then how does this team strike you now?

You could always stop watching and posting. When was the last time the Knicks were second in the eastern conference in March?

But you have to understand thats not good enough. Knick fans have gone through 12 years of misery. Im not saying we have to win a championship but getting to game 7 of the ECF or even beating the heat would be great for the fans.

it's getting harder to watch this team knowing that their ceiling is 2nd round and out with a possible woodson-like annihilation of 4-0 or 4-1. worse, it is also looking probable that it's a melo-special first round buh-bye should we be forced to face boston or chicago.

i thought the consensus for most of us was a significant ECF appearance. maybe you felt differently but if you didn't then how does this team strike you now?

You could always stop watching and posting. When was the last time the Knicks were second in the eastern conference in March?
But you have to understand thats not good enough. Knick fans have gone through 12 years of misery. Im not saying we have to win a championship but getting to game 7 of the ECF or even beating the heat would be great for the fans.
I want post season success but I am not sure why the doom and gloom patrol is out in force today.
Im not doom and gloom But i understand why many fans are upset. I mean the last 3 years we have gotten injuries at bad times. we also havent had playoff success yet. Remember teh summer of 2010 was suppose to be a new beginning and so far we only won 1 playoff game

Amen to that. I read some of this stuff and I hope Melo has a good bodyguard.

We didn't toil for yrs with ineptitude by Layden and Thomas..... then go free pass for another 2yrs with Walsh.... to then throw away our future, to then.... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, and sputter back down the hill.

That's not my point, I don't fault anyone for not being a fan of Melo. There are times when he deserves the criticism. When Melo was a serious candidate for MVP, some here were still endlessly posting about what an awful teammate he was. At first it was "why can't Melo do this? Why can't Melo do that?" And when he started doing the things they wanted, it still wasn't good enough for them to back off for one minute and just enjoy the ride.

Folks are pessimistic about our chances, that's not unreasonable considering all the injuries, and the roster shuffling. But when things are going well for a team, most fans enjoy the times when their team gets on the floor and represents, especially after 10 years in the wasteland. If you (not specifically) can't then you should ask yourself why do you even bother? After a while its just plain creepy to focus on one player regardless of how well the team is doing. Its the NY Knicks, not the NY Melos.

come on now. this is a team that looks like a second or even first round exit and you're hanging your hat on its regular-season record?!? sounds like moral victory consolation. booooooo!

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

+1
All we are asking, is give reasonableness a chance. Second place in the conference. In March. Not sitting here posting and worrying about beating out the Bucks or the Sixers for the eighth or seventh seed.

Do you (the figurative 'you') miss the should we be tanking or not be tanking discussions?

Can't we at least enjoy the improvement, or are we just supposed to eat **** and mourn the end of civilization as we know it?

I personally expect and want the Knicks to win a chip every effing year. Fo, Fo, Fo, Fo! When they don't I can't stamp my feet and point and jump up and down and shout for heads to roll.

1) We are old. This is a known fact. Has been for awhile.
2) Melo is the best player we have. He is not Lebron. Lebron is Lebron. Lebron plays for the Heat. I really don't hate Lebron, actually; but you see, he plays for some other team.
3) The Shump of right now is not the Rook we came to know and love. Cramps and all.
4) The Stat of 2010 is obviously gone forever. This means we only have a big two. That's not great.
5) These are not excuses. These are pieces of reality that "most UK posters" have been discussing ad nauseum for months.

Redundancy for clarity's sake:
>>>>6) 2nd place in the conference. In March. Would most UK posters have signed on for that in November? I wonder.<<<<<<<
