oh and this one is national! this is the greatest stage in the world, doesn't get bigger than this,

to me, today >> superbowl, this is what we all live and die for,

if melo gets hot, there is no end in sight, there is only good stuff,

we need melo to go 14-25 for maybe 42 points with 8 boards and 2 steals

I'll never forget them both going for 40+, James had a monster triple-double, the Cavs were on a 12-ish win streak or something and Melo hit the game-winning jumper over Lebron and he cried himself off the court :D

Honestly OGk, I'm not worried about LeBron James. He'll get his numbers no matter what. Now if he drops 40+? We're in trouble.

During game one LeBron shot 8/16 while putting up 23 points, 7 boards, 5 assists, 2 blocks, 0 steals and 5 turnovers against Melo and our Knicks. Melo responded with 10/28 while putting up 30 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks and 1 turnover against LeBron and Miami. During game two while Melo was out, once again, LeBron got his. 12/24 with 26 points, 13 boards, 11 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 3 turnovers.

Basketball is a team game, and it just makes me smile knowing that LeBron James can go off for a monster triple double, but yet our Knicks still have a team in which can beat Miami's team regardless of LeBron James going off or not. One thing I loved about our two games against LeBron thus far? He's only shot 10 free throw attempts (6/10 from the FT line). When LeBron scores? Make him earn it. When teams send LeBron to the FT line 10+ times per game? Forget about it.

Last year during the postseason, Carmelo Anthony and our Knicks really had no chance against LeBron, Wade, Bosh and Miami. Not with our previous team he didn't. Not only was Amar'e banged up, but Mike Bibby? Fields as our starting 2G? Toney Douglas? Josh Harrellson? Baron Davis? Jared Jeffries? End of the bench guys such as Jerome Jordan and Dan Gadzuric? Zero chance and it had nothing to do with Carmelo Anthony himself.

Where am I going with all of this? Melo and our Knicks truthfully had zero chance against Miami during last years postseason. This is no longer the case here in 2012-2013. Completely different team. As long as we have Carmelo Anthony, we have a chance against LeBron James. You can take last year's 'no chance' type of postseason series into account, and Carmelo Anthony still has a better head to head record against LeBron James. With very strong numbers too. Melo and LeBron? These guys have gone at each other dating back to their rookie seasons of 2003-2004. I don't think today will become any different. Both LeBron and Melo are coming to compete.

OGkush, I'm looking forward to you sparking up early and often. That means Melo gets wet early on.

One more thing before tipoff. We're 2-0 against these guys despite the fact that...

A.) This is Iman Shumpert's first time facing Miami here in 2012-2013.
B.) This is Amar'e Stoudemire's first time facing Miami here in 2012-2013.
C.) This could be the first time we've Featured Marcus Camby against Miami here in 2012-2013.

D.) Miami's yet to see our Knicks of 2012-2013 with Shumpert, Carmelo and Stoudemire.

That chances today.

Breaking news.

Wow, I hadn't noticed this. Maybe if someone could breakdown our win-loss in the first month and a half when we were elite, and then our win-loss since, it might shed light on this trend that no one has ever noticed before now.

If Camby is dressing, he could be ready to compete. Amar'e (like J.R) may be coming off the bench, but I look for Amar'e to play alongside Melo and Chandler more times than not (when compared to playing with our backup unit).

C: Marcus Camby.
PF: Kenyon Martin.

Would love to have these two veteran big men ready to backup our Center and PF position(s) moving forward. But the postseason is what matters most.

If Martin and Camby aren't ready to contribute today, then so be it, because I know Felton, Kidd, Prigioni, J.R, Shumpert, Melo, Novak, Stoudemire, Kurt and Chandler are ready to compete/contend come 1:00.

No excuses. We're healthy as we've ever been.

hahaha, I will :D
It wouldn't hurt if Melo and the Knicks give me a birthday present by beating the Heat today :D

and yeah, Lebron's quiet nights are better than most people's good nights, so him having a "bad game" is out of the question.
I love seeing these sorts of battles though, 2 great players going off against eachother.

HUGE test today. Miami will be looking for blood. We need some monster games from Melo and Tyson, and some hot shooting from JR and Novak.

Yes. One hell of a special player we've landed... Amazing what Melo does on a nightly basis. Greatest Knick since #33 baby.

And Spark up OGk, Melo about to give us our first points. Free throw times for #7.
