He's really what we need right now- good move- Glen-sanity brings us fugazy- I'm glad- he's a skilled player will fit in well-
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Kmart has been doing this all his basketball career, don't come in the paint because he's a great help defender that has nothing to lose playing for the Knicks.

You all know Kmart is throwed off right ?

When Sheed comeback put put he and Martin in the paint and then let some speedy pg come down the lane it's gonna be lights out !

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Should've signed Belinelli in the offseason like I was saying

So now we're the NY Nuggets? But seriously I hope he has something left in the tank and can stay healthy. Our injury roster is getting full.

Martin and a second round pick for Brewer is good. Miami was reported to be trying to sign Martin with the roster spot they freed up trading Pittman.

With Kidd and Camby, Kmart is the 3rd vet player to sign with us over Miami and Miami was reportedly recruiting them all hard too.

I never liked Kmart...always felt he was a dirty player but if he plays hard, helps hold this team accountable, and helps us win I could learn to like him. I guess the soonest he could play is next week? I hate waiting.

How come they didn't resign him?

He wasn't happy with his role which is a little concerning since he will have the same role here. Maybe a few more mins per game tho

Everyone just needs to get healthy ASAP. Unlikely as it is I want to see all 15 of these guys in uniform, playing before his 10-day contract is up.

On twitter, I love how mad Celtics fans and Miami fans are about us signing him.
And I remembered another reason I disliked KMart ...he and his smirk were on the Nets back in the day.

I like Kenyon always have I hope his toughness rubs off on some of the players. Hilarious how the Knicks are being made fun of for this signing when not 12 hours ago when everyone was saying Heat the move was being made out to be a huge get

IIRC, KMart also didn't want to take the vet minimum which was all we could offer. And other teams weren't offering him much either.

I was shocked at how good KMart looked last year in LA. He's kept himself in good shape and was a good spot player last year. I thought his legs were shot, but they're not. KMart still has some life in his legs. Especially in limited minutes. Having him and Sheed should help with keeping the defensive intensity up.

I hated KMart. He was a very dirty player when he played for the Nets and like Jefferson had a smugness about him. I remember when Kidd got Mourning to sign with the Nets after his kidney transplant and Kmart made fun of Zo for struggling running sprints. That was a long time ago and I am really excited that he is a Knick. I hated Spree before he became a Knick and he ended up being one of my all time favorites.

If Martin defends he will get plenty of minutes since Camby and Sheed CANNOT stay healthy.

I would like to see a front court of Amare, Martin, and Melo.

So the old Nuggets had a talk and figured they were never coming out of the West. Figured they'd split up, spend time on a few different teams, then join up in the East. Watch out championship, here they come....Bwah hah hah hah hah!!!

If guys get healthy the depth is like when the Knicks had Buck Williams and Terry Cummings coming off the bench. Guys that got it, played tough d, rebounded and intimidated. KMart, Sheed, Camby, and Kurt are from that mold but health is holding back Sheed and Camby.

Yeah, I like that aspect. Just concerned about the health.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

As you can see below, it's looking like our Knicks front office took note on what NYKMentality has been saying dating back to last offseason But on a more serious note, when healthy, we're fully loaded with big men such as Kurt Thomas, Rasheed Wallace, Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby, Amar'e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler. God Forbid our BIG's are healthy come postseason play, and we're up against Miami? We would simply murder Miami down low. Without question too.

NYKMentality wrote:I'd rather just pick up Kenyon Martin as a free agent, who's only one year older than O'Neal, without having to give up anything of value during a trade.
Kurt Thomas.
Kenyon Martin.
Rasheed Wallace.
Marcus Camby.
And let them battle it out.

As you can see, I'm thrilled that we've landed Kenyon Martin. We just added lots of energy and toughness down low (coming off the bench). These post's I've quoted were all post's which were made before the signing of Kenyon Martin.

NYKMentality wrote: Myself personally, have been calling for Kenyon Martin since last offseason before he joined with the Clippers.
He ended up averaging 22.4 minutes, 5.2 points, 4.3 boards, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steal per game with LAC last season. A field goal percentahge of .441%. Only 0.8 turnovers per game.

Anyone can look decent with youtube highlights, but anyone that knows anything about Kenyon Martin understands that there are four guarantees with Kenyon Martin. 1.) He's going to play hard each and every game. 2.) He's going to play with toughness down low. 3.) He's going to give you minutes. 4.) He's high-energy off the bench.
