Alright I need to know wtf is going on with Eric Bledsoe,

I picked him up off waivers in fantasy league, we need to get this deal done so Bledsoe can go absolutely YOLO and HAM all over the joint

Strangest rumor I've heard: Amar'e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert for Josh Smith and a filler such as Zaza Pachulia. http://tinyurl.com/bxro94g

Kennedy again so take this with a grain of salt

When it's all said and done that maybe the best ATL can get. I think I trust Amar'e to stay healthy but smith is one of the best wing defenders out there. He is also shooting way to many bad shots but Melo would definately take the ball out of his hands for the most part.

There is a less than 0% chance this happens.

If the Knicks could dump Amare for Smith I'd do cart wheels.

I don't want Smith btw.

Again...the whole Smith/Amare deal will never happen. But imagine some kind of Smith to NY, Dwight to ATL, Shump/Amare to LAL type deal? That would be hilarious. MDA reunites STAT with Nash and Kobe spontaneously combusts into flames.

THE NBA is weird. Some teams are playing in half empty stadiums.

Wish Milwaukee would take Amare off our hands.

I love what Amar'e Stoudemire stands for, but Josh Smith is doing more than just putting up 17.4 pints per game, he's also averaging 8.6 boards, 4.1 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.2 steals per game. Shooting .460 from the field.

The beautiful thing? He's only 27 years of age when compared to Amar'e Stoudemire who's 30. Josh Smith is the reason why Atlanta's the current 6th seed as a postseason contending team. Without Josh Smith leading the way, ATL's an NBA lottery team.

I wouldn't offer both Stoudemire and Shumpert though. The balls in our court. Why? Because ATL could be on the verge of losing Smith as a free agent for absolutely nothing come the offseason. At least they could still replace Smith with a big name player in Stoudemire who when healthy, can still sell tickets. Even if we were to trade Amar'e for Smith followed by losing Smith during the offseason? We just freed up $21,679,893 in cam heading into next season.

I love how Stoudemire came to New York when other NBA stars wouldn't. I love how we're on the verge of 3 consecutive trips to the postseason since the signing of Amar'e. But, I don't like his injury history, his lack of defensive ability along with his current contract. If you can move Stoudemire for a Josh Smith? You do it. I'd even throw in Copeland and White. But with all that stated, I'll always respect Amar'e for changing the culture of our franchise moving forward.

C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Carmelo Anthony.
SF: Josh Smith.
2G: Iman Shumpert.
PG: Raymond Felton.

With J.R Smith, Jason Kidd and Steve Novak as our 6th, 7th and 8th men off the bench.

C: Marcus Camby.
PF: Rasheed Wallace.
SF: Steve Novak.
2G: J.R Smith.
PG: Jason Kidd.

As our backup 5.

Pablo Prigioni, Ronnie Brewer and Kurt Thomas as our 11th, 12th and 13th men off the bench (when fully healthy).

Nope, I wouldn't. Why? Because Atlanta could be on the verge of losing Josh Smith for absolutely nothing during this coming offseason. Why should they receive both Amar'e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert in return?

This is different than the Denver deal because Josh Smith isn't Carmelo first and foremost. We can't afford to keep Stoudemire but yet still sign Josh Smith as a (potential) free agent and Iman Shumpert/Amar'e Stoudemire is a much better package when compared to Gallo/Wilson.

Stoudemire, Copeland and White for Josh Smith. They can take it, leave it, or lose Josh Smith for nothing during free agency.

LMFAO

And Atlanta would take on Amare's retarded contract for what reason?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.^^^They won't pay Josh but they're gonna take on Amare? We'd be lucky to move Amare for another all star and only give up Shump.

Lakers are insane if they don't trade Dwight- there is zero chance he's re-signing with them as he hates the coach, hates Kobe, they aren't winning and he's not having his 'fun'. They need to get the rockets and nets bidding against each other, and take the best deal.

I can't imagine that deal is the best Atlanta could get but I would do it in a heartbeat.

just out of curiosity...how and why exactly is Melo listed as PF with Smith as a SF in your starting line-up? shouldn't it be the other way around?

NYmental the reason they even consider it is because of Shump. Otherwise they can do better from other teams even if its a draft pick. We can appreciate your biased, but its cute sometimes.

Amare's contract is a lot for anyone but NY or LA to bite off.

Dwight gives up like 23 mil less by not signing with LA. Problem is Dwight is a clown and LA might not want him. Problem is Dwight is a clown with a bad back and maybe ATL does not see him as a cornerstone. His best fit might be Houston but they might not have the metrics down on him for that kind of money.
