But Bledsoe is about to get squeezed out minutes wise by Billups. Pierce is a big upgrade over their current SF.

Eh, all that really means is that Billups is being an added to a team that's already .800. I don't see that as a reason to make roster changes. I wouldn't depend on Billups staying healthy anyway. If they do give up these young players for the Celtics' dinosaurs, they better get much more back in the package.

Have you adjusted for starters versus bench minutes? What about playoff experience minutes? Or minutes taking game-winning/game-ending shots?

It's like the Kobe has a low TS% argument. Yet he is probably the only man alive who can go toe to toe with Lebron in the nba finals

Kobe has a slightly above average TS% and is very good in all other areas of the game. The advanced stats have him as a top player in the league though not at the Durant, Paul, Lebron level.

Not really but I would love to see Kobe vs Lebron in the playoffs instead of the Heat sweeping OKC

As they discuss this trade, C's have signed Terrence Williams to 10 day contract via Twitter....

NBA source adds Williams to #celtics is nearly done. He is waiting for clearance letter from Chinese team and headed to Denver to join team

That team would be nasty:

PG Chris Paul
SG Billups
SF Pierce
PF Griffin
C KG

But I don't see them having the salary to send back to get KG AND Pierce. Also the signing of Terrence Williams indicates they're not breaking the team up- he's more of a tinkering signing, wouldn't really be a rebuilding piece.

T-Will if he were to pan out would fall in the mold of...

Rondo
Bledsoe
T-Will
Sullinger
Jordan

guys between 23-27yrs of age rebuild. I think he fits whatever they decided to do, but more so a piece moving forward.

Clippers have enough salary to send back....

Jordan
Bledsoe
Butler
Turiaf
Hollins

for

Garnett
Pierce
Fab-Mel

Gets it done....

WHy would the Cs want a declining Butler. If I was the Cs I would try to get Granger for Peirce or maybe Milsap. Idk but Butler, Hollins, and Turiaf seems bad.

The reason you trade for a player like Butler is because it gets them under the Tax(while acquiring a TPE for summer) cap flexibility next yr. Not an incredible drop off in talent, although Pierce is still a better player. Butler is younger

You can't say Pierce is old in one breath and then say his trade value is through the roof.

Butler is only 3 yrs younger and yes it gets them under the tax but I would not want his salary back. You know what would be intriguing is if the spurs would trade Jackson, blair, etc, for Paul. Jackson's deal come off the books a the end of the year.
