Chris Johnson
are 2 players at the forward position probably that the T-Wolves signed from the D League with 10 day contracts ending soon
They have more experience in the league, with D League, and Europe, and have greater upside
They are completely different players compared to Sims
Sim's is the traditional PF type that can hit the 12 footer, hustle points/rebounds, much like a younger Kurt Thomas
Maybe Sim's and Woodson have some experience with each other with the preseason/practice and Allan Houston see's something in him as GM of D League Erie...........
Gelabale is a shooter like Copeland but is much more mobile, quicker, can handle the ball, and I believe was part of the French team with Diaw/Parker
While Chris Johnson is just a great athlete, runs the court well, is extremely lanky, and is a poor man's version of AK47
I am impressed with both players but more with Gelabale's ability to shoot the ball and both are much better athletes with speed/quickness
Chris Johnson has been in the D League for awhile now and he is one of the more explosive/athletic players with great length
While they are not the traditional PF's I think their reach/length allow's them to play much bigger than their height
Most importantly their speed/athleticism would translate on DEFENSE, so they would not be liabilities like Novak and Copeland are at the SF position
I was impressed with Sims during his stint here in summer camp and he's listed as one of the tops prospects in the NBDL. I like the fact that he's tough and doesn't back down. Typical Hoya. Plus, he already has some familiarity with the organization.
Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.
