Blocks are OVERRATED

Altering shots isn't though. And you know the Knicks aren't a team that does that in the paint enough.

That joke went right over you and another posters head...Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!

No, I was here back then, but I decided not to get lost in the subterfuge............

How could it be Subterfuge if I believe Blocks aren't OVERRATED? Appears I refreshed your memory that's what took place here

It was a play on words from Isiah

Because the Isiah Knicks have nothing to do with the Woodson knicks.

Like I said, I almost felt for it in the first post, but decided to go the better route.

BUZACTLY!

So me saying....BLOCKS ARE OVERRATED wasn't a belief of mine... it was a mock at the notion they are overrated.

lol Dude it's okay you forgot about it...

Yes we need interior defensive presence, yes we need someone on this team who will not per say grab all rebounds but block out at all times and/or get rebounds, yes we need someone here who won't block all shots but make attempts at blocking them and/or altering them

DUH WINNING!

This team was built around Melo and Amare. Without Amare we do not stand a chance in the playoffs

Actually this team wasn't built around Melo and Amar'e because no astute GM/Scout would ever put those 2 together on the same team.

Amar'e happened to arrive here before Melo made it known he wanted to take over the big apple. Every since the Melo trade the team has been shaped around Melo.

Hence why the team made several attempts to trade Amar'e last year and would this year if they had the chance to.

Another clue as to why we know it wasn't built around the two of them because only 1 of them has been asked to adjust his game for the other player.

That part made me smile, because I do read RealGM from time to time.

10 Things I Like and Don't Like

1. Amar'e Stoudemire's Start to the Season

It's early, and Stoudemire has shown blips of his old effectiveness as a scorer, especially in New York's jolly good win over Detroit in London and its tough loss to Brooklyn Monday. But he's looking so creaky on defense and the glass that it's uncomfortable to watch. If this is the real Amar'e now, it's going to be hard for New York to play him heavy minutes against stacked first-line offenses.

Knicks are 28th in blocks and 27th in rebounds.

This team needs a healthy Rasheed Wallace and Felton....They are the MVP of this team. Whether you like them or not....We are clearly better when they are healthy.

I support the Kmart move.....My only concern is where does Kmart fit in when the old dogs (Wallace and Camby) are healthy? Will this cause contriversy at the wrong time of the year, like during our championship run? If we assume Camby and Wallace will never be healthy again, sign Kmart. He's the low post presence we need on defense. Plus he scores in transistion. But this is based on the old Kmart. Not sure if that he still exsist at 36 yrs old, sitting on the couch eating muchies.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

When we signed tyson, we was suppose to boast the best front court in the league, Amare, Tyson and melo are all pretty good rebounders. kidd is one of the best rebounding guards in the history of the NBA, J R has had a few games this season where he's posted double digit rebounds.

I think we should be ok once AMARE returns to the starting line up.

And .... Amare will grow 4 more inches so that he can actually accomplish the aforementioned tasks.

Amar'e averaged 17 and 8 and a block last year with a bad back. The year before that was like 21 and 8 and 1.5 blocks. No growth needed. Perhaps you should just employ common sense and reason.

It's always funny to see fans rant about the need to go out and get some player as if it it would be some magical elixir. Sometimes, teams improve within during the course of a long season. Knicks have a lot of room for improvement simply with improved health of Amar'e, Felton and Shumpert.

Kenyon Martin is not in the league for reason and adding him to the team will not accomplish a thing.

Amar'e is on an ugly down trend in his career, he will not improve anything ever again,

you can expect lower numbers every year from today until he retires

When bench players beat him they will maybe get a double double. When players like a Tim duncan beast on Amare they can get 20 and 10 or more. I am tired of waiting for Sheed to maybe get well then play for a few games then sit more. Get KMart have him start and lets move on. Brewer needs to be cut, he is useless.

I agree on that point brewer needs to go. Also can't just wait for these old guys to maybe play a couple more games just to get injured again.

Hahn says Woodson going to go with Felton/Shump backcourt. Hopefully this means Amare is starting by Saturday with Kurt as backup Center. Cope relegated to spot minutes.

It's the only option. Tyson, Melo, Shump, Kidd, Felton is a nightmare defensively and on the boards. No way he goes to that lineup. Amare is starting

Amare is a nightmare on the boards, Kurt thomas would be a better starter.

All Amare does is take away Tyson Chandlers picks, the Knicks don't need that. They need spacing and rebounds.
