I don't know the rules but could the Knicks send someone down to Erie and bring up a point guard? I don't think this is a possibility because I think nba contracts count as roster spots.

Next man up

We are so deep that injuries actually help us.

Great to see Camby (9 rebounds in 35 seconds) back on the court

White's contract is guaranteed so he's not getting chopped.

Only non-guaranteed contracts are Sheed and Cope. Those guys are secure.

Felton could use the rest, rock some ginseng and heal up for the post All-Star break push.

Prigs needs to step up. That's the answer.

either he does or he gets exposed. One way or another we will find out what kind of player Prigs is. Not confident he can run an nba offense outside of the PnR. He is slow and gives us no penetration and kickouts

IMO Pablo isn't so much slow as he's just not a great ball handler in the way many PG's are. He moves plenty fast enough on D when he's trying to steal the ball or make a defensive rotation. You see it when he drives too. I think he just isn't as confident in his handle and that's why he tends to walk the ball up and protect it with his back to the defender. I think he'll be OK on most nights, but will have some games where he struggles. Just my 2 cents.

Both great points about Pablo, but he is suppose to be a crafty player. I want to see if his supposed high Bball IQ can make a difference.

Any update yet? I see that Raptors player also broke a finger yesterday and has been given a 4 to 6 weeks recovery time scale and that's without surgery being required. So I suppose 4 to 6 weeks will be the minimum- I was hoping that was the worst case.

Kidd also turns his back and so did Mark Jackson and even Magic Johnson. Care to guess why?

Our offense isn't built around speed if anything its exactly the opposite, not sure why it would be a problem for Prigs.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

its built on penetrating and kicking out to Novak, melo, Kidd, JR and Cope. Lin would've fit like a glove. Can't bring the ball up and hand it to Melo and let him go iso all them time. If thats the case we could just give Chris Duhon the pg duties

Pretty sure you mean for the latter stages of Kidd's career. Using your back or posting up is just using your size/length/strength advantage. Has nothing to do with speed. Penny Hardaway in his prime was a perfect example.

Kidd, Gary Payton, and Iverson were probably the fastest players of their era with a basketball.

Don't think thats entirely correct, you turn your back cause you see the floor better for slashers, draw doubles, and traps, post ups, or swing the ball out of the potential double, find the open man it just gives you more options..

Felton is a much more balance PG having played for Larry Brown and MDA and now along side Kidd..

I'm pretty sure also, but when you say "THEY ARE/WERE ALL SLOW" it's tough to infer.

How long is Felton out? Kidd is Kidd but there are no more legs under him. Kidd will make buckets where it counts and that's about it.

I am talking about the older version of JKidd. He used to be lightning fast - see clip at 25 seconds for my favorite play from him:

Also, I am not talking about in the post, I am talking between half court and the top of the key. If you have a pesky quick defender that you will not/cannot take off the dribble, you need to turn your back to protect the ball when they press.

Obviously if you have a size advantage you will/can post up smaller PG and force doubles ala Mark Jackson and Magic.

Were = MJax and Magic
