If anyone deserves a standing ovation it is Knicks head coach Mike Woodson.

Who knew JR Smith could play defense?

I love how we talking all big about applause, meanwhile is anyone even going to be in attendance?

Its a valid thread / question.

Stop doing this.

No not really, a guy that played less than half a season for the NYK is obligated to receive a standing ovation?!?!?! I don't see why this issue or concern could not be discussed in the game thread. It surely does not require a separate thread.

Seriously, Felton & Kidd need to decide to harass/punish/embarrass this dude to the point of total humiliation the way Jordan & Pippen did to Kukoc in the Olympics to make a point to the fan base that "Linsanity" is OVER!!!

Forget Jeremy, maybe we should shower with bouquets and opera singing the instant Toney Douglas enters the game!

Ehh, maybe not.

I would give TD a standing ovation. He was a classy kid that MDA completely messed up.

In hindsight, it's pretty obvious his shoulder still wasn't right after Labrum surgery. Glad to see Toney bounce back and refind his shooting stroke and confidence in Houston.

i defended TD til the day he was traded. he's a solid player and was dealing with shoulder issues, but it was much easier to just say "no he sucks, he's the worst player in the NBA." the guy obviously has some skills and makes for a good enough back-end rotation guy in the league.

No, but I suppose I can give Lin a standing ovation in my living room, record it, upload it to youtube then link it to Lin's facebook or twitter. That way Lin knows he is appreciated and loved and revered and a gift!!!!!!! There should be no doubt.

the amount of angry negativity on this board is intense.

Let this kid have a nice moment, what is wrong with you guys? We are kicking ass.. You can't find it in your heart to say THANK YOU for that moment you gave us last year? Sheesh... Scum bags lol

Listen to Ian Begley, he got it right:

Just curious

Did Red Sox fans give Roger Clemens a standing ovation when he returned as a New York Yankee?

Did Bucks fans give Kareem a standing ovation as a Los Angeles Laker?

Does Ray Allen (who won a ring in Boston), as a member of The Miami Heat, even get a handshake from Kevin Garnett?

Hold Up

With Tony Parker, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Ty Lawson, Stephen Curry and OJ Mayo all having superior seasons, how - in the name of Ticky Burden, Rick Brunson and Dean Meminger - is Jeremy Lin THIRD in All Star voting at guard?

A little help, please.

I don't think an ovation is required but I surely don't think he should be booed. There should be an appreciation for what he did and what he was able to accomplish his short time here.

I hope to see a competitively played game, with good spirit.

This I would do before giving lin props. I want lin to be humbled before our guards. Id like to see lin be 2-20,no fts,1 assist and 11 tos. I want him to go into the locker room at the end of the game crying. Just like ANY other guard in the league,I was us to step on his neck til he cant breathe anymore and to make him think for the next time he comes TO THE MECCA-MSG THIS IS OUR HOUSE
