I love how all the people that bashed the Kidd signing have decided to prop Kidd up in a laughable attempt to diminish Melo. Kidd is a good support / secondary / tertiary player but this team is clearly at its best when Melo is on the floor. You simply need to watch a game to realize this. The offense is clearly at its best when Melo is in the game and Melo has been playing great defense.

I think Kidd is just as valuable as Melo. Without Kidd on the floor, Melo can sometimes revert back to his old iso days. Melo even quoted about running the offense through Kidd. Thats all that needs to be said.

well i wonder who those people are.... I said from the start and 3g can verify this, that if kidd can turn back the clock every 4 games the knicks can win their fair share of games... I like some were worried with his age, but am very pleased and surprised to some degree with how well he is playing.. here is what I posted on realgm.. when we signed him.

Saying that Melo is not Lebron nor Wade does take away from the fact that Melo is an elite player. Somehow you think saying Melo is not LeBron justifies your inane position. It does not. It is a straw man argument. Melo has been a stud player since he entered the NBA. I am saying this and at the end of the day Melo is not remotely one of my favorite players.

But Melo is the Alfa dog on this team and Jason Kidd himself will admitt to this. If Kidd goes down and we get Amare back we still have a chance but if Melo goes down we can forget it.

So the people who are providing evidence for their arguments have it all wrong and the people making claims with no supporting evidence (Like "Melo is a superstar and you are clueless if you think otherwise") have it right? Sometimes, I don't know why I even bother.
