I thought he may have been injured but I'll keep saying it, if Camby could hit the 3 or look to shoot the 3 he'd be playing. It's pretty obvious why Woody is playing who he's playing. He's tied to Melo and wants players who give Melo multiple options to score on the floor. Therefore we run a spread chuck system.

I would hope not. That makes no sense since Camby should be coming in to relieve Tyson.

Well looks like Camby's career has really gone full circle- chained to the bench, just like he was with JVG!

Frustrating, as I like him and think we need his rebounding, but reading between the lines it seems like Woody is not pleased with his conditioning or work ethic so far- waiting for him to step both up before he earns time on the court. Guess Camby is in the mindset that he's a vet, is ready to go and thinks he should be able to prove it in games. Hope they sort it out soon.

Woodson said Marcus Camby is fine physically and he has to be ready when his name is called.

Hasn't been the cause of the losses so why change?

Amazing how the main reason...defense isn't being addressed.

Camby just need to be ready when his name is called. Until then he needs to be quiet.

Word on the street is that Woodson banished Melo to the little kids table on Thursday, after he refused to pass the cranberry sauce

nothing new there. Passing was never Melo's forte

have you seen Camby when he's played. He has looked lost on the defensive schemes and his rebounding numbers have not been what Wallace is giving them.

Wouldn't mind seeing Camby place in the high pick n roll since he has a decent 15footer. Better than what Kurt has been giving us on the offense end. Kurt has had the touches when he was getting burn but only made like 1jump shot.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

He's gotten 15 rebounds in 40 minutes.

Camby has looked fine on defense when given minutes. I am also not sure why he hasn't played much considering Camby said "You're asking the wrong person." Sheed is not a better player than him.

Sheed is a better player than Camby at the moment.

Camby definitely looks his age out there, while Sheed actually contributes timely minutes.

It's a simple answer, the guy is still not in game shape.

Mike Woodson said before the game that the 38-year-old veteran was still working his way into game shape.

yea, but in fairness I watched camby and he looks heavy, and he just doesn't move that well now... with that said, we gave up josh harrelson who was a solid player for us.. Douglas who we misused while here, jerome jordan although not in rotation still a young 7 foot body... we gave up 2 second round picks and then gave camby a 3 year, 13.2 million dollar deal..

That is almost unheard of for a guy his age in this league... so I do wonder why he is not playing and if he doesn't then this will have proved to be a huge blunder by "Grunny"....

good point, but in all fairness, rasheed has look as good as tyson chandler on both ends of the floor.. not sure if that says a lot about sheed or little about chandler.... I am going to keep it real with you, I rather see sheed on the floor over chandler who has really grinded my nerves this past year.....

But you do have a point, guys are just waltzing in the lane vs us, and that has to be a huge concern....

It's basically a 2 year deal- 3rd year only has $1mil guaranteed. Minimum contract length for a sign and trade was 3yrs, which is why we did what we did.

Jorts and Jerome Jordan weren't sought after by anyone really, after they got cut by the rockets- not huge losses really. Both will be FAs this offseason so we could get them both back for free if we want.

Camby has done stuff in the minutes he's played- rebounding and defensive plays- you notice him when he's on the court, he can still contribute.

it won't be for free, but let me ask, are we going to get those picks back? the key is jorts played well for us while he was here, so it is irrelevant if other teams had little interest, that should not diminish the value he had here with us... people need to get out of that kind of thinking....
