“The biggest thing is I enjoyed playing for the fans,’’ the struggling Lin said after yesterday’s practice as he prepared to face the Knicks for the first time tonight at Toyota Center. “I had a lot of peace about it right when it happened. I know God has a perfect plan. And he’s shown that in my life. It didn’t shake out the way everybody thought it would, but I’m still very at peace with how everything happened. I’m in a great situation right now.’’

is there any chance the Knicks don't win by more than 20 and shut Lin down?

I don't think tonight's match up will be close. Our backcourt is solid enough on defense to shut them down. Our big men are better, defensively and offensively. Overall, I'd say this is an easy win. I'm glad Amar'e is out for this game still because it will create a hole in the post whenever Chandler gets tired. I seriously think Jason Kidd made our players better fundamentally. Defense first, always. I know Houston would probably play Jeremy Lin more just for the ratings, but since Lin has been double teamed a lot, he won't get enough openings to score. I don't think he's ready to be a superstar although he gets that treatment a lot from opposing teams. Carmelo should shine in this game as I don't see Rockets can double team him well. Felton will probably be given the ball a lot just to prove to the world he's much better than Lin, so expect to see Lin doing more defense than offense on Felton. I think the Lin talk should die down, just like the Kidd talk yesterday. As money-wise, it's a loss for us, but the trade apparently was better on the championship side. It's just business and there's no moral standard on business really as long as it's legal. This should be an easy win for us.

How is it a loss money wise? The deal fell through because of the money Lin was getting.

It's because Lin is a cash cow. Don't read all the billion dollar deals the Rockets are making!!!!!!

JamesLin - there is no such thing as an easy win.

Your assumptions about the Rockets as a pushover smack of complacency, arrogance and artificial pride.

Win by one point and celebrate.

Lin thinks he has something to prove this game. I bet he comes out hot but Woodsons defense is just to good for him to do well.

To my knowledge the Knicks never offered Lin a contract correct? I think basically if the Knicks really wanted Lin no one could take him from us. If they were 110% sold that Lin was the future of the franchise and was gonna be a lock to play at or near the same level for his career, they would never have let him shop around. The thing is that they didn't feel that strongly about Lin. If you think you have the next Rondo or something at PG you don't let him shop for a deal before talking to him and showing him all the love you would a franchise player. That's why I don't believe they ever really wanted to offer Lin a major deal. If they positive about him they would've locked him up. It's been over and done with.

GO KNICKS!!!

Long Live Winsanity

"Once we go out on the court, all the goes out the window,'' Chandler said. "I don't have friends on other teams. I bear a Knicks jersey and that's it. I've been that way my entire career. If you don't wear my jersey for 48 minutes, we're enemies."

What a match up! The Knicks vs Houston and the Refs vs the Knicks. Wow the Knicks are playing two teams at once. LOL I hope the refs call the game fair.
