Like I've said a lot of time im happy with our team that we have now but i dont get why people are bashing lin. he's a good kid i mean its not his fault the rockets overpaid

Did JR bash Lin or did he simply answer a reporters question honestly?

And anonymous quoters spoke honestly about Tim Tebow too and look at what turmoil that created. Sometimes it's good just to keep your mouth shut or say "I wont speak about Jeremy Lin."

Nothing wrong with JR said, he was speaking truthfully and matter of factly and at the same time raining praise on a teammate. I didn't read any negative connotations from his statement. You do know Jeremy Lin was a shooting guard in college, right? Thus the score first mentality and why he is struggling in a pass first offense in Houston.

P.S. - Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic thrived in this same offense McHale is running. K-Mart was in the Harden role. They just run a few more ISO's for Harden, because of his skillset.

I was more so referring to the crap he said over the Summer. Melo too. I am pretty sure Chandler said stuff as well, but I could be wrong about that.

I think these things get blown out of proportion. Personally, I don't think there was anything wrong with what JR, Melo, or Chandler said at all. I don't think Lin took any of it personal either, because deep down he knows it true anyways. Either way, the sooner these 2 games with the Rockets are over, the better so we can all move on.

Agreed on the sooner the better part but I honestly feel that players shouldn't speak out against other players contracts. At the end of the day, this was the Rockets and Lins decision and that's between them. If it doesn't cheat the system then Lin should get that money because the Rockets felt he was worth that. End of story. I'm sure the Knicks should realize that there have been a ton of worse contracts in the NBA.

Whether Lin lives up to the contract is a different story. If he doesn't.... shame on him.

Agreed that players shouldn't discuss other players' finances or contract status. With that said, I believe what Melo said was taken out of context. When he said ridiculous, he meant the structure of it. I think it was Novak who also commented on the Lin's contract and he was a bit more articulate than Melo was but it was the same bottom-line.
