His rookie year he played 24mpg, I just extrapolated his numbers out to 36mpg. And Novak has never averaged 30ppg per 36.

I exaggerated a bit with Novak to make a point. I don't think you can't make projections like that on a guy like Frye. His numbers were inflated on a really awful defensive team his rookie year. To me Frye was just another soft injury prone role player

IDK - Not sure what to think yet. The season is young. Woodson definitely seems to be doing better than I thought he would. The acquisitions were nice and are paying off on defense, but our team offense is still waht it was - chucking threes. Looks like we re doing it even more than we were with MDA. Not sure that will hold up in playoffs at all. JR smith and Felton are not consistent 3 pt shooters, and our offense is still heaviliy dependent on this. Can we do this over an entire season? Multiple seasons?

I also like that Melo is trying to play some team ball, not sure if it will last or if he has really made the change for good. In my eyes he becomes a "championship player" when he actually wins a championship. I amnot sure thiis is achampionship team yet. Maybe if we can solve for Amare's minutes without giving up too much we can build something really cool.

the team is performing better offensively under Woodson and when Amare returns he will add balance to the offense with more high percentage shots. Its nice to not just have a roster loaded with 3pt shooters but loaded with 3pt MAKERS

Not sure I agree with that. They are definitely making more threes now, but they are also shooting way over their career averages - I expect them to revert to the mean sooner or later.

I agree. I also don't think for the most part the Knicks are chucking up 3's. The ball movement has been really good and they are taking open shots. They also are hitting at a high rate for the most part. Also, the Knicks hired a shooting coach and at least several players have credited him with helping with their shot.

Honestly, I havent been WRONG about much since the Isiah era but here are a few highlights of my Dolan'esque brilliant decisions...

I was RIGHT about not getting in the truck & letting that white girl get in instead...whew

I was WRONG about the Starbury brand being like the next Jordans and I'm having a real hard time unloading 125 unopened boxes to Japanese Sneakerhead aficionados...

I was RIGHT about Jared Jeffries being a black man that cant dance (saw him at the club & dude is on some spastic movement ish for real). Seriously looked like he was trying to take a charge from the chick he was dancing with...yikes

I was WRONG about Donnie Walnuts not embarrassing us as a franchise by hobbling into a meeting with LeBron & World Wide Wes using a walker like a friggin Senior Citizen.

and last but not least

I was RIGHT about being the BEST player at the UK summer hoops games.

but

I was WRONG to post pictures of transgenders in the ALBA thread....ooops my bad

I was very vocal that STARBURY brand was the crap. Then I bought a pair and was blown away how bad they were. I used the to power wash my deck. the man made uppers kept my feet dry.

I was wrong he would ever win a championship and be enshrined in bronze. even in China.

I had a Starbury gold hoodie that was made really well. Had it for years and often thought if I could take the stitching out of the letters I could wear it for actitivites other than camping.

Hmm, where do I begin, i'll try not to forget anything. I too was excited about Marbs and Curry I thought Larry Brown was gonna be good for us. I thought MDA was a great choice for pumping up the value of our overpaid scrubs so that we could get rid of them and clear the roster. That one i was 50/50 right/wrong. We got ripped off still in all of those trades. I thought Sergio Rodrigues was going to be Nash-lite for us. Last but not least, before Melo played for us and I saw what he brings to the table I thought he was a borderline star, and definately not a superstar. That one I was wrong for sure, now that Woodson has shown how to use Carmelo to his potential. This season Melo is a superstar.

Plenty of wrongs. Not just Knicks but in general. Hiring of D'Antoni, drafting of David Lee, the Felton signing back in 2010, Oden over Durant, Melo over Lebron when they were drafted. Sticking with Mike Woodson. Even the signing of Tyson I thought would kill us since we had a terrible backcourt and that tapped us out of cap space. Jeremy Lin...he just looks less explosive. I also thought Nate Robinson could be a perennial all star...

Right? Well I'm always right!!! Disregard all of the above, that's gibberish.

-I've backed the amare signing and I still will. I don't see how we get where we are today without getting back to respectability.
-Melo trade...I loved gallo and Felton but had to pull the trigger. I gave up on Wilson that year while many were praising him. He just doesn't get it.
-getting Felton back, signing of brewer, drafting of Shump. I could write a book on this stuff :D

He's definitely coaching like that is the case.

I was right that Marquez was going to knock Pacman out. I was wrong in that I never thought the Giants would ever be able to beat Drew Breez with the Saints.
