Knick fans so quick to turn.

I don't know. I don't think he looked that great in the preseason either.

How about in the playoffs? How about for team USA?

We went all in with Tyson and it was dumb!

We went all in with Tyson prior to LAST YEAR. He won the DPOY. You are now saying it was dumb to go all in on Tyson based on games that did not count (preseason), games where the team was shorthanded, had no point guard and he was ill (playoffs), and games where he was in a rotation with the best players in the world (olympics), and based upon 1/10th of this season not even being played and Tyson coming off an injury.

Talk about over reaction.

We went all in because it cost us our priceless amnesty. And, based on Tyson's career, I don't think he can sustain the last 2 years play.

Aside from us, only Golden State made him an offer.

Great team player! But, overrated (in value)

Would you feel better about Tyson if we had amnestied Amare instead of Chauncey?

Of COURSE!!!

OK, fair enough. My point though is that I think Tyson is worth what he's being paid and your complaints have more to do with who we amnestied than with Tyson per se.

Doesn't the amnesty expire after the first season of CBA if its not used ? Use the amnesty on Amare ? With MDA on as head coach? Nope, would never happen. This is not hypothetical dream land over here. That would never ever happen. Besides, in another year he becomes a HOT HoT Hot trade commodity. I know we are used to giving away assets but the amnesty was used properly, I think. Without Tyson this team would be nothing like it is now.

One player can be waived prior to the start of any season from 2011–12 through 2015–16.

He will not be a hot hot hot chip - he should be gone without us picking up other crap.

Tyson ain't worth 34 million dollars! And, any chance at players like CP3.

I don't think there was anyway the Knicks would have amnestied Amare. However, if they did and let Chauncey expire, they would have had a lot of flexibility.

Ok. So we agree that they should/could have.

Are you saying that he not have been amnestied this past summer or next summer based on what we've seen?
