We went all in with Tyson prior to LAST YEAR. He won the DPOY. You are now saying it was dumb to go all in on Tyson based on games that did not count (preseason), games where the team was shorthanded, had no point guard and he was ill (playoffs), and games where he was in a rotation with the best players in the world (olympics), and based upon 1/10th of this season not even being played and Tyson coming off an injury.

Talk about over reaction.

We went all in because it cost us our priceless amnesty. And, based on Tyson's career, I don't think he can sustain the last 2 years play.

Aside from us, only Golden State made him an offer.

Great team player! But, overrated (in value)

Would you feel better about Tyson if we had amnestied Amare instead of Chauncey?

I don't think there was anyway the Knicks would have amnestied Amare. However, if they did and let Chauncey expire, they would have had a lot of flexibility.

Ok. So we agree that they should/could have.

Are you saying that he not have been amnestied this past summer or next summer based on what we've seen?
