You keep JR on the bench at all costs because he can't play with Melo and certainly not once Amare comes back. Woodson understands this. It is why Fields started in the playoffs despite being the worst player to ever lace his shoes for the Knicks

He's only played with Melo most of his career and the the minutes he plays are most with
melo on the floor. On top of that when he did start with Melo in Denver he put up big numbers.

What does that have to do with Brewer's situation?

Hope nothing lingers with Ronnie. Can't wait until everyone is healthy - Shump/Brewer/JR is going to be a fun trio at the 2 to watch. Between that and our 3 headed PG, I'm loving our backcourt.

Clutch shots and tenacious defense.

JR Smith is playing the best basketball of his life and we are happy to have him back home where he belongs.

Where he belongs.

Imagine how The Garden will be rocking. Imagine.

JR has finally grown up and you can see it on the court. His shot selection has improved and he's all over the floor on defense.

The Miracle Worker

“He played unbelievable,” Smith said of Anthony. “In the past, when he hasn’t had it going, he would still look for his shot. For him to make that next pass, and for Raymond to make to make the next pass, that really shows our growth. We’re not looking for our shot. We’re looking for the best shot possible.”

Mike Woodson has transformed JR Smith from an out-of-control playground baller into something resembling a clutch professional.

JR's quote demonstrates that he "get's it" and the league better find someone to cover him.

Next stop? The neck tatoo removal doctor.

“There’s a reason why they’re 6-0,” Popovich said.

as general spreader of fluff and propaganda I enjoy reading your posts in that context... its fun and this board is better with you here man, but this statement is no propaganda.. you nailed it. Woodson's effect on JR has been huge and its great to see. Nice shift in culture from the inmates running the asylum.

as general spreader of manure and compost I enjoy reading your posts in that context... they are predictable as cardboard and this forum is a less entertaining place with you here man, but this statement is no manure ... you nailed it, Mike Woodson's effect on the playing personality in the fourth quarter is great to see, especially when the Spurs are running out of gas in their own building. Nice paradigm shift from the hunted to the hunter.

Beat Memphis.

fish.mike - your clumsy attempt at a clever retort is appreciated. It really is. As you are equating a historic, undefeated start to the regular season with manure The Answer Man would offer that you are not just knee deep in your own misery.

The rest of the Knicks party people are waving their hands in the air

and waving them like they jus' don't care.

Insane in the membrane.

Insane is so insane The Answer Man had to check for himself. Yup. 73.7.

18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and less than one turnover per game.

Shooting 49 percent from the field and never misses a free throw (86 per cent). Flat out crazy insane.

not sustainable... he's going to shoot us out of some games also, but I will take it. Dude's showing us the goods and has proven to be coachable. His defense has been great. He's a huge part of the team's success. I would be nervous about signing an admitted party guy to a long term deal but I would offer him 3 years $25mm right now (about $8.5 a year). When that deal is up Shump will be ready to resign. Thats how a smart front office would do it me thinks

73.7

For now, the Knicks are picking one another up on both sides of the ball and playing a fun, free style of hoops. Difficulties loom in the future, which is why it is so important that they are establishing their identity now, both at the player and team level. - Beckley Mason, NYT

Carmelo (3-12) shot us out of last night but did other things to make his running mates better. During the inevitable nights when JR's shot is off, so long as he flashing from out of nowhere, to rise above the box to block a layup, we are cool.

Wayne Ellington better watch his back.
