Nets HAVE been pathetic and the attendance and support shows it.

Jersey failed. Plain and simple.

Drop of a dime? Are you kidding? Article states reasons why.

They talk about the sheer numbers of Knick fans and many won't switch.

Die hard fans are season ticket owners not internet bitches. Like us.

Who here has season tix? I go to see Knicks 2-3x in Charlotte per year or on occasion in MSG.

Im not "DIE HARD" except for my internet chats with you guys.

I have defended Dolan the last time with the Walsh/MDA hirings and it kind of did not work out for reasons discussed in length many times.
The ISiah years were awful starphucks. The Layden era was about unraveling the Ewing era which upon checketts departure by Dolan was handled awful. The Dice debacle was a symptom of the starphuch desired.

The Nets got many peoples attention and the battle for NY is on!

That makes it good for NY basketball but not necessarily for the knicks. 40 years. Old Testament speaks of 40 years in the desert. Thats a long time. People lose hope they turn their attention.

Nets win a chip before the knicks they lose the city as the first class team.

The attendance was horrible when they were good.

Thats what the swamp does.

Its why they moved. The was the straw. After that the Move to brooklyn was deemed necessary.

My point is that you can't blame the attendance on poor play.

The move to bklyn will be/is incredible for them. The NJ apparel is selling like stupid crazy. That will calm down but brooklyn really needed a team.

You can't be a fan of both? Not that I am, it's just awfully black and white in the Knicks vs Nets discussion. I think the case with the Nets is that finally people are paying attention to them. Kudos to them.

Look at the Clippers vs Lakers last season. They made for intense, competitive games. All because of them sharing their area and arena. I wouldn't mind being able to watch more intense, competitive games with the Knicks. I hope the Nets do fine, because at the end of the day, they aren't the only team we will play and they have zero influence on how our record will be. If we don't make the playoffs, that's sure as hell not the Nets' fault.

I'm a Knick fan foremost, but I am also a fan of the NBA. I'm interested in seeing how the Nets will do and that is a plus for me. Another example is Houston, I didn't give two shyts about their team the last forever, but with their acquisitions of Harden and Lin I have gotten interested in seeing how they do.

Posting on this thread because I want to talk about the knicks and the nets for a second.

Knicks looking beautiful. Gorgeous. It’s like this: take 18-6. Add THREE point guards. Smart, tough, capable, veteran, crafty, ballsy point guards. With one who can also play the 2. Then add 3 veteran bigs. Smart, defensive, old-school, cagey guys. Add a high-energy multi-skilled wing. Give mike a training camp with them. Gradually bring in amear, iman. This is the ****s guys. The ****s.

Now as for the nets. Went to their opening game last night. Because an old friend who shall remain nameless but is a desperate and broken man these days wanted to see his craptors so badly that he was treating. Let me tell you something – anyone who wants to defect to that pathetic franchise is getting what they deserve. That place is a dump, a ****ing hole. There is absolutely nothing going on there. No style, no panache, it’s like an empty airplane hangar. Whatever look they thought they were going for didn’t happen. And zero energy for an opening night of a franchise and an arena. No celebrities at all except the obligatory appearance of jay-z and beyonce. Dead-ass crowd. Worthless mascot. No energy crowd. Team is garbage. Just a joke.

Knicks forever guys.

Oh and here’s a bonus – fish “fan since day one” mike.

So marv adds nothing to the antiseptic barklays'?

I'd figure you alone would add some class!

BTW, I've been to all kinds of arena's in US and abroad and there is really nothing like MSG! The pinwheel concave ceiling is like nothing anywhere! I hope they don't phuch is up with the bridge they are installing next year!
