Not excusing their behavior, just pointing out that they probably wouldn't have been the same players without that nasty attitude. If you watched the Reggie Miller HOF speech, he credited Magic for teaching him to cheat and win at all costs. The great ones do that... they only care about winning. There was no better flopper that Reggie. But Jordan was in a whole different class. I mean, could you imagine playing golf with Jordan and having him talking **** to you when you're playing golf with $50,000 on each hole? DLeethal wrote:

Guys like Jordan and Bruce Lee, they seem to have(or in Lees case had) a drive beyond what most men are capable. From the Pain threshold to and uncontrollable desire to not just win but "dominate." It goes beyond narcissism into the realm of psychosis. Their mental makeup is not so dissimilar to insanity because, I don't believe they can even control it. the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Its more of a sociopath drive and he is unaware of his actions when in persuit of his goal. Greatness comes with a price. Does anyone have any reference to a book or article that better describes his brief retirement other than "Space Jam"? Dude had either a mental breakdown, gambling problem, or some other prolbem that he had to step away. Jordan walking away form the game at his peak just never made any sense. |

It wasn't just being swept but, players brought the brooms out on the floor and Chuck said he'd never forget that. Dude is still bitter which, shows what a bytch he really is. I love hearing the stories of how Charles Oakley smacked the shyt out of him on one occasion because Barkley tried to welch out on a bet.
